Congratulations to the creators of TT

I'm new: what I would like to do is say "a very well done" to the programmer of these excellent web pages. I have programmed my own web pages - by no means so comprehensive as these and I know how much work is involved. Once again WELL DONE!!

Umm...not sure what you mean exactly - this amazing site comes from these guys: Invision Power, who provide their services to many others as well, as far as I know...

Yeah, the basic software may have been developed by Invision but Ed Bob and the moderating team have put in a hell of a lot of effort to "tweak" the software, create scripts and make TT a unique environment.

You may find other boards with Invision software but none are like TT.

Geez..."nice" on one thread and "naive" on the other...oh well, I guess you can't win them all...

Oh great Ed. Bob and other people who worked (and work) on Toytown Munich - please accept my sincere apology for insinuating that TT is straight out of the box.

In all seriousness, I value TT very much for the work that has been put into it - I don't know to which extent the functionality has been enhanced, but the moderation/editorial aspect is very good. So that wasn't the point I was trying to make.

I should think so too. "Tree" would have been more appropriate.

I would like to add my appreciation of the content of this site. I will be arriving in Munich this Saturday evening (25th Feb) and I feel that the insider information contained herein will better orientate this first-time visitor. BLOODY WELL DONE EVERYBODY! If only there were more communities like this dedicated to geographical locations giving succour to auslanders. Oh for a Berlin forum of this quality!

Thanks for the welcome. Are you from the Midlands too? Do I have to pack my thermals for Munich? I'm in Nottinghamshire at the mo' and it is snowing and freezing cold; I'm thinking this is just acclimatization for next week.

yeah its pretty cold here at the moment and will be for the foreseeable future at least. It can stay chilly until the end of March. The temperature isn't so bad now (around 0) but its a British style grey cold that feels colder than it actually is, so to speak - so right up your street probably. The houses are warmer over here though!
