She was cured in Coventry though. If it was me I think I'd have poked my eyes out - being totally blind is much better than looking out over Coventry! I think it's a hoax - there are no trees/pigeons etc in that concrete jungle.

Hmmm see now if these guys were on the ball what they would do is tell everyone that she was cured after praying to the Holy Statue of Mary, the mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. Then they would drag out a man whose chronic dermatitis was cured by praying to the same statue.
Pretty soon there'd be hordes of people coming and you could sell em all holy water and stuff and ask for donations for the upkeep of the statue. Next you could arrange for the statue to, ahem, 'bleed', and be the lord ever merciful, they would be coming in their droves and alls the while you'd be flogging you're holy water (each bottle containing a tear from the statue - now 5bucks a bottle, no sctratch that lets make it 10) and getting all kinds of donations.

and well after a while, but before the vatican cop on what you're at and send opus dei to sort you out, you skip town with you're donations and go live the luxurious life in South America somewhere.

but they obviously didn't think of that then...
