Head over to the Roeckle Outlet sale at Steinerstr. 5-9 in Thalkirchen tonight until 19 o'clock, tomorrow from 9-16, only. Roeckl is the manufacturer of horse-riding, mountain biking, ski, & everyday casual & top-quality leather gloves. I know them from their excellent selection of moutain biking gloves. I own a pair of long-fingered ones.

http://www.roeckl.de/

I walked away with a pair of ladies, short-fingered, "Comfort Innovation" gloves for €15. I checked the web, and they're out for €27.50. I also picked up some light-weight fleece for €2,90 & 2 more pairs of wool-blend half-fingered I like to use when I work (and my fingers get cold) also for €2,90 each.

The outlet has been opened since yesterday, but I only popped in myself today to see what they had. They have a huge selection of men's & women's leathers gloves (4 tables each 4m long). Since I wasn't interested, I skipped this section, but discounts were amazing. It seemed they had more women's leather gloves, than mens, but there was a decent selection for the gents too.

They also had an impressive selection of ski & winter gloves for men & women in all sizes and colors. Lots of black ones, blue & white too. You can also find a hug selection of light-weight fleece or cotton-blend gloves, incuding scarves & caps. Sport gloves were on 2 long tables, each around 4m long too.

Take the S7 to Mittersendling & walk south 10 minutes or the Bus 53 (for examle from Harras) south & get off at Zielstattstraße, head east under the tracks & you're there in 10 minutes. Also, bus 134 drops you at Flößergasse. From there it's a 2 minute jaunt. I'd put a map here, but I think that was illegal. Hot-maps shows you where to go. Have fun!

Right, that's tomorrow planned then! I've been looking for a pair of leather gloves and want a gauntlet style with the big cuffs.
Roeckl gloves are fantastic, cheers for the tip!

Oh, I forgot to add, it's cash only!!

I went a couple of years ago and got some fantastic gloves for myself and my mum at a fraction of the shop price. We've both worn the things to death and they still look as good as new. Thanks for the tip Elf - I guess I'm going shopping tomorrow.

is this Steinerstr. or Steinerweg or maybe Steinstaße?
'couse my GPS only has Steinerweg... huh.gif
On their site they only have:
Sendlinger Straße 1
Maffeistraße 1
In München...

It's Steinerstrasse. Intersects with Plinganserstr. We're going tomorrow too, oh boy!

Map from hotmaps.de so it's ok copyright-wise:

I was there this afternoon, came back with three pairs of gloves for me and three hats (plus gloves for Mum's Christmas pressie for next year - shhh - don't tell her).

Next year the sale will be on the 11/12/13 of Jan. I know it's a bit early for that information, but I'm posting it for MY benefit because I can guarantee I'll lose the flyer before then.

And now I'm going to scurry off to the Roeckl website and see if I can work out how much I saved!

Some of the four pairs of gloves we got had the original prices on them. Also got two silk scarves, one for 15 and one for 9 Euros. Now I just need someone to show me how to tie the suckers so I don't look stupid.

How did we all miss each other there? Oh I know, because it was FRIGGIN' PACKED! But you guys should have seen hubby, you both know him?

Anyhow next year go the first day because today by noon there were no ladies' kidskin black gloves left. Had to make do with dark brown. Plenty of schweinchenrosa, but who wants that...

if you're size 8 I'm going to personal abuse hidden by admin. I knew you were a better shopper than me and you've proven it again.

I have tiny hands - 6 1/2-7.

Oh there were tons of those. OK all is forgiven.

Because not even I can justify 180€ for them (but it was a close run thing and I did visit them in the shop weekly).
