Ski and snowboard clothing rental

Where to rent winter sports gear

Hi,

May I know where I can rent ski clothings like the pants and jacket and gloves for one day in Munich? Or is there a ski clothing rental shop near Wallberg snow sledge area? Not goin to buy one set because will not be using it very often.

Anyone has got the answer to this question? blink.gif
Johnny_who?
at larger ski resorts you can usually rent stuff, at smaller places it is not very likely. At Stubai they rent out pants, coats and even gloves. Don't know of any place in Munich that would rent out gear.
Why don't you give them a call beforehand - almost every ski resort has a website with phone numbers.

I have the answer - me.

I also have all these items here in Germany (40 mins from Munich). PM me if you need help etc. Might be a bit of a logistical pain for one day however?

Hi Johnny English, I have seen your posts in the forum but the price is too high for me and I am not planning to rent the clothes for one week. Just one day will be enough.

Was this ever answered?

Need rental for 1 day. Any ideas?

Can you rent trousers/jacket at lenggreiss?

Not sure, but kaiserf came with us to Spitzingsee last week and we couldn't get jackets or trousers anywhere there. They could give him the board and boots no problem but not the gear, unless he wanted to buy a pair of €189 trousers. Seems a bit silly to me, but oh well.
He had to give up and go home without using his ski pass at all.

hey, IW when are you off skiing? I can lend you a pair of snowboard trousers. They are too long for me (but i think you might be a few cm taller than me anyway, oder?). I'll dig them out this weekend and give them to HGL. You can then either arrange with her a time to pick them up (easier than with me cos I'm hardly ever home) or i can maybe drop them round some time. They are a khaki green/brown colour. can't help with a jacket though.

Thanks very much for the offer. I already have the stuff. I am a hard core boarding mofo. wink.gif

It's for these two Irish girls I met in the pub that want to go boarding, but dont want to spend a fortune on clothing, when all they want to do is try it out for one day.

Hmmmm. I tried Intersport at Munchener Freiheit, but they just rent boots and boards not clothing. sad.gif

Actually it perplexes me why it's so difficult to be able to rent snow jackets/trousers. Lots of people go for just a day or two a year. Every place that rents out boards/skis/boots should rent out the clothes as well, its not like it would be a huge hassle for any shop to do this.

Can't help you in the short run IW, but I'll make sure to ask around cuz it annoys me.

I thought the same thing. I shouldn't have assumed, but figured that they must have lots of tourists who want to snowboard and need the whole kit out, rather than just having half of the deal.
I begged all the staff there and even asked if they had any staff spares we could borrow or something since we'd already paid for the train ride and day pass, but no joy.

@IW,
What two Irish girls? dry.gif

i know C&A had snow pants n stuff that were pretty cheap..not sure if the winter stuff is still out but if it is might be even cheaper cuz its end of yr. obviously not highest quality stuff but if its just for a few times a yr should be ok.
Owain Glyndwr
Wal Mart offer some VERY cheap stuff. Real too. Both are in the Euro Industie Park.
