My mother is visiting Munich and wants to find out about the red hop on/hop off sight seeing double decker bus that travels around the city centre. I can't find information about it. Does anyone know how much it costs and what the route around the city is? Do they have a website?

just found the website so don't worry!! if anyone else wants it...

those are NOT "hop on/off" buses like you see in other cities...they're just set length tours

Almost all the tour busses start/stop in front of Hauptbahnhof.

But they also stop at Viktualenmarkt next to the Toy Museum.

Yep, but in front of Hertie across from the Hbf is where both the companies stop (there's two bus companies...about the same tours, about the same prices) Not that I'd ever recommend a bus tour...far from it, but if you're looking for one, check out both, then decide which you want

I have taken city tours by bus with visiting friends and on every occasion I found the tours to be interesting, time efficient and a great overview of the city.

The only problem I have with bus tours is that nearly the entire old town is a pedestrian zone...so you don't see much of it from a bus.

There are always walking tours, and that way you can even ask questions...amazing, I know.
