Children and fireworks at New Year

Just went down to Rotkreutzplatz, was walking along the pavement when a kid calls out "Vorsicht!"
A split second later I caught the small of poweder, I'd just stepped over his lit fireowrk on the floor!

I shouted at him that he was bescheuert and that it was damned damgerous but he looked at me as if i came from Mars!

Ten minutes later him and his mates were still messig with fireworks around a shooping precinct.

Call me a fuddy duddy but it seems that the German "yoof" have certainly picked up som UK culture doesn't it.

Unlike like me to say it, but there wasn't a gnome in green around when you need one!

You should come to Neu-Perlach, it`s like the fucking Bogside or the Markets in the 70`s (N.I. for younger ones) They blow everything up thats standing around. New Year is like Bagdahd round here, constant explosions

I was in Berlin a few years ago for New Years and it really was like a war zone with all the fireworks - and it wasn't just the little punk kids doing it either..

Sounds of Ambulances going by (I mean, loads of them) and rockets wizzing past your head and exploding on the street etc... crazy shit..

well, you expect it on new years eve, innit (which is why i stop in every year these days)

that's why we are leaving munich this new years - the irresponsibility of (big) kids and fireworks. ha ha - isn't it funny if I aim it into the crowd mentality. gag

I hated new year's eve in Germany. I hate the fear factor you get when you are minding your own business just doing some shopping and some lunatic hurls fire balls at you! It's outragous and should be banned. I guess that the german kids have order and structure drummed into them all their lives and so one day of the year (ok, two if you count fashing) is for running riot. Well, that's why I always headed home for NYE. I like my limbs.
