Ein Herz für Kinder - A German TV show

Watchin Ein Herz fuer Kinder on TV and it is both heart breaking and uplifting at the same time.

So sad to see children in a bad state but heartwarming to see people get off their arse and do something to help.

The format is somewhat more formal than " Children in Need " in the UK ( don't know USA equivalent, sorry ) but horses for courses and it works and restores faith in humanity.

If i wasn't such a hard man I might even admit to the odd tear . . .

I can't watch stuff like that, it just makes me dissolve into a blubbering wreck.

I am €20 poorer for it, and i didn't even see it. My wife has a soft heart, and thought we had some hard cash.

So after paying 50% deductions on my income supposedly to fianance the welfare state they want me to pay more under threat of haping my eyes held open on toothpicks and forced to watch "light entertainment" on TV?
