English keyboard in PM program?

Switching German and English keyboard

I noticed earlier today that when I was sending a PM that my German keyboard acted like an English keyboard while I was in the PM program using Internet Explorer.

I don't know if I somehow switched my Explorer program to think my German keyboard was an English one without knowing it or if the PM program somehow switched it.

I noticed now that my Explorer program now acts likes an English keyboard for all websites, not just Toytown's. But for all other programs like for MS Word, my keyboard is still acting like a German one.

Most of the time I can remember where the apostrophe and question mark are on the English keyboard, but I actually want to switch my keyboard back to being German again so I can look at the pictures on it.

Does anyone know how do tell my computer or Explorer that I want to have a German keyboard again?

Thanks,
Melissa

in the lower right corner of my screen there is a little blue box with 'DE' in it. I can click on it and make my keyboard switch back and forth between the German 'DE' and English 'EN'.

I think you should also be able to click on Start, select Settings, Control Panel, Keyboard, and then Input Locales and fix it that way too. Mine indicates that Left Alt and Shift will toggle me back and forth between the two, so you may want to look here and see what your automatic toggle is.

Yep. That did the trick. I must have accidently hit the left ALT and the shift key at the same time earlier today while I was using Explorer.
I did indeed have the little blue box as Butterbean wrote saying "EN" and so I just toggled it back to "DE" and now it is back to how I want it.
Thanks for the tip.
If only all computer problems were that easily fixed!
