Tax on goods shipped from non-German EU countries

Eg. customs on ebay stuff from the Netherlands

Ok, I searched around for this, but cannot seem to find my answer. Most threads are dealing with shipments from the US or non-EU countries.

I'm thinking about purchasing a high priced item on ebay.de, but the seller is based in the Netherlands. Should I expect to pay customs tax on this, or is it perhaps since it's inside the EU I am fine?

The item is about 600 euro and is 1.5 years old. I don't want to buy it if I'm going to have to deal with extra tax when it comes into Germany.
