I'm a bit mixed up, the beer hasn't killed the brain cells but the neurons have been redirected.

I've found out I've got the tune for VIVA BAVARIA in my head but the song I'm trying to think of had words like "..eins, zwei, lalala drei(mal?) tausend jarhe lalala bavaria..."

I checked the lyrics for Viva Colonia and they don't have anything like that in it. Have all the words been changed or just Bavaria for Colonia?

Anyone? My next question will be how do you sing the 3000 jahre song?

Wow great list! I love the selections on those CDs that Bob recommended- and the TresenMix one sounds just like what I need for our party after everyone has had their fill of the traditional favorites! But as this thread is almost 6 years old, I wonder if I can still even find it. Anyone got a recommend of a good store in Munich with lots of Oktoberfest CDs?

While hits come and go there is a core collection of very traditional Oktoberfest songs that continue to be standard - classics.
Trouble is that everyone around you knows the lyrics and tunes but you do not.
Not quite as fun- but with a songbook you can join in immediately.
