Which places do you know in Munich that sell american comics NOT translated in german but original versions (apart from Comic Company in Frauhofferstr)?

Ebay

There's a place on Fraunhoferstr. that has some. Between Klenzestr. and the river, though I can"t remember the name. Not an enormous selection, but they'll have a few. Also a place near Stachus, but I think their selection of original version is slim to none.

The second hand English book shop on Westendstrasse currently has a small selection of comics. I saw some Batman ones there the other day.

Does anyone know what old comics might be worth ? I haven't been able to find a listing, but my son was given a stack of mickey mouse type copmics - in german and in perfect condition - dating from 1951, some in the late 60s, alot from the 80s. They are slowly getting read and not-so-new looking, but the person who gave them to us said they were'nt worth anything.
Then he managed to sell a few for 3 euros each last summer at the yard sale. Which made me wonder - but I still haven't found much. (sorry about the babble - I am still on my first cuppa). Anyone ?

You can get price listings for comics, but you generally have to bloody pay for the listing.

I'd just try and find online auctions selling similar stuff to what you have

Oh, if you have "The Mystery of the Double-Cross Ranch" from FC 313, February 1951, name a price wink.gif

I didn't know Mickey did mysteries ?

Sorry - they are all in German. The first one I can find from 1951 is simply "Micky Maus - Das Bunte Monatsheft"

Seems it cost 75pfennig back then - interesting.

Just wanted to put in another plug for The Comic Company at Fraunhoferstr 21. I've had an easy time ordering the specific titles I want and the English stock on the shelves is enough to spark interest in a few series you may not have thought of. I've talked to a few TTers who didn't know about this place but were keen to check it out.

It's a good place, but The Libertine didn't want it. However, mybe he's changed his mind in the past year.

Thers another shop at Karls platz on the north side by the fountain. Can't remember the name but the guy from the comic company put me on to it. Had more english selection ,but the guy from the comic company warned me he is angry all the time and sure enough as soon as i walked in the door he was yelling at another employee. seemed pissed at the world. Upstairs for english but would recommened comic company for the shopping joy factor!!!

Is the comic store at Karlsplatz underground? Can anyone give me an idea what exit it's closest to?
I've been keeping an eye out for it as I thought it was easy to spot but I haven't stumbled across it for ages. Would like to go check out a few things today, if someone could point me in the right direction...
