Seeking piano lessons for school age children near BIS that does not cost a small fortune. Can anyone direct me?

You might try phoning the Richard Strauss Konservatorium (Gasteig) or the Musikhochschule. Ask for a recommendation of an advanced piano student. Typically university music departments in the US have lists of students they recommend for teaching and private performances.
This way you'd get a lower-priced instructor with perhaps not so much experience as a pro. But for kids, the teacher's personality is at least as important as pedagogical skill. If they don't relate, call for another one. Or interview two or three at the outset. I never particularly liked my little-old-lady piano instructor in high school, didn't practice much, and hence never got very good at it.

If you are looking for a good teacher, I know this super cool girl... She speaks English better than most of us, and while I have never heard her play she is the only 23 year-old girl I know who loves to drive vans and still buys vinyl. So she must be a good musician, right?
No, but seriuously, she teaches one of her music teacher's kids, so she can't be to shabby.

Hello,
I am looking for piano lessons. I am 26 and never learned to play any musical instrument before but would like to start. Anybody knows any teachers?
On the same note, I am also interested in the digital keyboard or a used piano. Thanks!

Is it the school hour (45 min) or the actual 60 min hour? And where is she located? Thanks so much for the help!

It is a full hour and she is north of
Schwabing. About 7 mins drive from Freiheit.
Did anyone find a good and reasonably priced teacher/student teacher for children? If so, please let me know. German or English ok.

I do recommend Elizabeth Parsons. She is a professional singer by trade but also studied piano and is giving tuition for beginners and advanced players all around Munich. Visit her website on www.elizabethparsons.net. She also a music teacher at some international music preschools in Munich.
