OK, looks like tonight's a 'no-go' so I have made alternative arrangements now.

I've decided that I need to get out of the house for a little bit this weekend, so is anyone else up for a game of pool sometime?

fo sho. will be there sunday from 2pm-?, but would be up for a game or two on monday as well (assuming the place is open). could use the practice seeing how I'm not quite up to pool shark status yet

stopped by today and confirmed that the place is indeed open on Easter sunday. Forgot to ask about Easter Monday, but feck, it was open on Christmas I doubt they'll close it up this time.

Out of curiosity, anyone coming tomorrow at 2? The non TTers that usually turn up all have other engagements and I'd rather not bother with getting there if it'll be just me.

the idea of snooker is quite appealing, but I suspect it will be a case of Whisky-Emporium to the slaughter!
However, I am willing to give it a go.

I always treated my pool playing very seriously, whereas snooker was 'just for fun' - mainly because I was never very good at it. I haven't played either for more years than I care to think about, but maybe it's time to put that to rights.

I take it there is a snooker table in the Ostbahnhof place?

I am now free all tomorrow afternoon / evening so the time will be to suit yourself.

Yes, I just learned that I'm supposed to hit the white ball with the thin end of my bat.
If I'm lucky, I hit it in the general direction of some of those coloured balls.

well, I have the afternoon off. it's pretty fuzzy when exactly I'm finished, but I'm pretty positive I could get there at 4:30. Not a clue 'bout afterwards though.

I think the best one was when we kept leaving the white ball in just the right spot so when the sharks took their shots we could see straight down their tops.
