Whisky Night cancelled due to lack of interest

Received a fax notifying me that Whiskey Night is cancelled due to lack of interest.

I'm disappointed in you TTers. No whiskey?

And who on TT communicates by fax when there is email, phones and PMs? Sounds like either crossed wires or a wind up to me...

Don't know many whiskey drinkers, but there are plenty of us who drink whisky...

I'm just waiting for the whisky festival. That was pretty damn great last year. I was toasted by 5 or 6, then had more food than imaginable at Wok & Roll just down the street from the fest.

is snowdon talking about this whisky festival? that's not until February, I don't think they'd cancel it now. The website doesn't say anything about it being canceled either.

You want whiskey, go to Molly Malones, they probably have the best selection of Whiskey I know of in Munich.

Ryan's Muddy Boot also has a comparable selection to Molly's. If you ask at the bar, they will get out their specific whisk(e)y menu and do offer sampler slections. Sometimes they do events along with Tara whiskyversand.de.
Another tip for Bourbon/North American whiskey drinkers would be Muffins & More in the Volkhartstr., Neuhausen which has a good selection plus Laporaigh cheesecake (which is too naughty for words).

I suspect, but am not sure, that snowmon is referring to the Whisky Night which was being organised by Munich Found magazine. It had been scheduled to take part in The Victorian Tea House on Saturday 26.Nov.2005.

It was being promoted on the front of the Munich Found homepage, but as of today seems to have been removed. You can still see the announcement in the Google cache though.

Its unfair to state, snowmon, that you're "disappointed in you TTers" seeing as this event was never posted on TT. It never had anything to do with this website's readership. It is a shame it was cancelled though. Maybe if it had been posted here than a few more peeps would have registered their attendance.

If it hasn't yet been mentioned, Islay, a restaurant on Thierschstr just north of the Isartor S-bahn, has a large and rotating selection of Whiskies for those interested.
