Am I the only Romanian on TT? Come on!
Nicky
There are lots of Romanians in Munich - I have some in my classes. But don't think they hang out in groups or anything - seem to be fairly integrated.

a prerequisite to being on TT is being a fluent-english speaker. maybe they don't have these skills and politely stay away?

on the other side, if you really want to meet some romanians, i have 2 in my karate class, i could pass along emails or whatever. i only speak german with them though. also i know, there are churches that do services purely in romanian. i know all this cause my ex spends a lot of time in romania and had a romanian intern here and got lots of handy info for him.

got the point. sorry for disturbing you.

@mca
I don't think you should take offence. No-one is saying that your English is not fluent enough, just that your compatriots here probably speak better German than English.

There is a weekly bus or three that leave from various parts of the city bound for Romania with goods of all sorts and passengers. You will find quite a few there shipping stuff back to their families, especially at Christmas time.

The perfect time to meet people. When they're struggling onto a bus with the kids and the Christmas shopping rolleyes.gif

There are about 30 people getting on the bus and 300 sending stuff. It is the 300 that you want to check out. Quite a nice little meet market if you are single. wink.gif

Hi mca,

+1 here, based in the Karlsruhe area. I know there are quite a few more around, haven't seen any on TT before though.

Cheers,
Dragos

maybe it would help if you say why you want to get in touch with Romanian people. Do you need a translation, are you interested uin the language, culture, do you want to go there on holiday etc...
