Can anyone help? Does 'chain-free' mean that there is no agency involved in the sale?

The meaning of 'chain-free'
...when referring to a property
It means that the person who you're are buying the house from, isn't buying a house from someone else, who is buying a house from someone else etc. This is often a problem because if one person in this chain pulls out the whole thing goes wrong.
