Snow...it's a love hate thing.

I seriously fear it when driving. My heart is usually in my stomach as I seem to be the only one who slows down when it is wet, white and freezing. I had to drive through white out conditions in Ansbach last night, and hit some serious wet snow while driving down Autobahn 9 at 2 pm today. As I watched the temp hit 0.5 C, I just kept praying the road wouldn't freeze up on me.

Aside from that I love it. Cross country skiing, cozy fires, gluhwine. Walking Munich after a new snow is breath taking.

@Why8- My dog (hahah the cute one) is Brennan. He's a collie/shepherd mix (looks kind of like an australian shepherd w/ a tail). he's almost 1.5 yrs old. he's great!
the dog of the family i work for is Much. he's almost 2.5 and he's a lab/something mix (looks like a lab but a bit longer ears). Muck eats stuff off the counter, barks all the time, steals shoes&toys and chews them, and is just a pain. The dad here cannot stand him either

of course you may borrow him!!! he's good in cars, planes, trams, Ubahn, Sbahn, and boats too- in case he needs to go some place with you. Restaurants he'll be good sometimes though impatient esp if there's another dog there. He loves beer and last sun was good while at The Arc. what else.. he responds to his name or me whistling, will sit, laydown, and shake (those usually-still working on it along w/ learning "stay"). i could go on and on! i'll try to post a pic (but i'm useless at it since i suck at reformetting the pic so the file will be accepted since usually they are too big)

Can't tell, it's too dark outside. I'd say it's either snowing a bit or not snowing though.

From here, no snow in Neuperlach. Not sure I want more of this wet rain-like snow. Is there a name for snow of this type?

This is just shite. Wednesday morning, wake up, and whats the weather? Blue skies and bloody sunny. Its outrageous. I have to put up with months of annoying daylight that hurts my eyes, and look forward to the comfortable greyness of winter. Anyone knows any red indian tricks or something, I'd really appreciate a nice heavy blanket of dark grey clouds please.

I take back part of my last comment (about it rarely snowing in Essen). It started snowing here a couple of days ago and everything outside looks ... well, like Munich last winter. Shit!

Heard on the radio that it snowed in Cornwall, England, and 1000 motorists got stuck in their cars over night and many had to be taken to hospital. Now only if they had winter tyres...

My Brother lives on the edge of Bodmin Moor , in Cornwall and it took him 8 hours to get to work last night. Just spoke to his wife and they had 5 inches (130mm) of snow yesterday and the roads just became undrivable! As you say, if only they had winter tyres!

That's the kind of stuff that was out and about at lunchtime. I'm near Hauptbahnhof and it's raining all the way down to the ground now. The worst of weathers at this time of year.
