Holzkirchen - story of a house-move

Hell on Earth

Well...

Here we are in Holzkirchen after paying this decidedly average company to do the Umzug.

All our shit is here, we just have to unpack it from the boxes.

This morning there was this awful woodpecker in our garden, damaging one of our trees. Added to that there were blackbirds taking slugs out of my garden, also great tits eating bits of my fruit trees. I shall put a stop to this as soon as possible. Can't let them get away with that.

It gets worse.

This morning I took my daughter out for a walk. We wandered in the fields near town and concluded the mountains look far too near. The air is too fresh and the trees too orange.

This place is infested with wildlife.

I'll keep you posted about the experience, if any are bothered to read it...

Oh God... sad.gif
bluedave
sounds absolutely shocking, you need to inform the appropriate amt about your infestation and also get back to the city for an urgent carbon monoxide inhalation

praying for you

Beware the mountains. I saw a telly programme and it says they are still moving. Another 20 million years and your house is gonna get squashed.

I have even worse news. Yesterday it took ages to buy stuff at the "Tante Emaa Laden" as the women there wanted to talk away with me. She did one of thiose things called a smile I think.

This morning we had a tit flying round the bedroom. More soon.

We struggle on...

gee, what's up with that? how aweful, your tit problem. got the same problem with cocks?
sarabyrd
Annoying tit problem. Bet the cocks are up and about at all hours, too biggrin.gif

Damn, got beaten to it!
jeremy
I shit you not. My daughter's slumber was ended by this great tit flying around the room! I opened the wondow to let it out.

Luckily today I have bought some"Vogelfutter" to distract the birds from my trees. Have placed it onto the bird table.

BTW tasting my first Jagertee of the season. Bliss!

Right, back to tellytubbies!
jeremy
It gets worse.

Today we had one of these so called "Nuthatches" on our newly placed bird table, stealing all the Vogelfutter I placed for them.

A cat might do the trick ...
grazzenger
yes, we have those fecking bird things out here too. damned annoying how they scoff all that vogelfutter and then expect more. not as if they do much for it either. bastards!

however, our two cats keep their numbers under control. this year we've had presents of all sorts of regular birds plus a woodpecker (not bloody impressed i can tell you), lizards, slow worms and even a small snake. nutters!

be careful jeremy, that wildlife stuff is bleeding everywhere!
bluedave
must be a strange thing, i've lived in Haidhausen for many years and never seen any of these, what do you call them ? wildlife thingamebobs only ever seen evidence of their presence on my car mad.gif
jeremy
Even worse still...

Yesterday a Jay popped in to our feeding station without so much as a by your leave!

Infested with wildlife here...
crispybee
Well stop leaving bloody food for them then.
Once word gets out on the critter grapevine, then you'll realise how easy the first week was.
jeremy
Even worse...

Yesterday in a Mexican restaurant these 3 children came in and started singing Advent carols! I felt duty bound to dump a Euro in their plate.

Is there no end to the madness here?

Joking aside it was wonderful!
