As the title suggests, this is a rather large project. The recipe book was written as a labor of love and the translation must be undertaken in similar fashion. Compensation would need to be discussed as there are several viable possibilities. Seriously, we only want enquiries from people who have the time and the patience to do this and do this well. Chef/cooking skills and experience would most definitely help in this project and would be a plus in my eyes.
Note: English to other languages could also be a possibility, especially Spanish.
That'll be your mom's cookbook, right? Sounds like a cool project!

You got it. This is the stuff and the person that I learned to cook and be a chef from. It used to be the "big green book", but mom put it together in a true cookbook form with little stories about many of the recipes and helpful hints. The whole family contributed to the completion of this book before she died and a second printing was done because so many people wanted a copy.
It also has recipes for low and no salt diets, as well as, zero lactose recipes for galactosemics. It really is a cooking bible of the best of the best recipes collected and invented over the last 50 years.

Depends on how soon you want this done. If it's rush work - nope. But I will gladly help you. Or you could make this a joint TT project and we could all pitch in.

For those that have replied here and via PM, I will set up a meeting sometime in January after the holidays. Of course, it will involve sampling a recipe or three as well. I should also have a better idea of the publishing possibilities by then.

When would be a good time to arrange a meeting of the culinary and literary minds? Basically, for those interested reply here or PM with available dates.

Bringing this back up to the forefront. I am finished with the book at work, the biotech company proposal and have only a chapter to write for another book and a grant proposal to submit. That actually gives me some breathing room.
I am looking at April 15th to have a games night and an earlier get-together for the cookbook project. I am in touch with a publisher in the UK who has great interest in this.

Yeah, I just realized that this morning. I may move it forwards or backwards a week.

Ok, back to business. How is the 6th or 7th or 13th or 14th of May? As I will have the explorers group the 6th or 7th and games night the 13th they can all feed into this or vice versa. It is time to get serious about this again since I do have a publisher interested. I would like to get something going before the hectic season of the world cup begins and basically puts the world off until August/September.
