I once offered to make peace with Conquistador and he said "I'll think about it" and never replied again.
I like the way Ruthie posts. She seems sweet.
I've never met an TTer in person. I think it would be weird. People get such strange impressions when it's just text.
I'm convinced I've pissed off the half of you, so in that sense I wouldn't want to meet, but not because I don't want to meet you.
I'd like to drink a beer with lilplatinum. I'd like to meet Conquistador. mlovett would be interesting to meet, as would llees.
if I saw gatzke I think I'd punch him right before the introduction. Right in the mouth. But then be rather cordial.

Anyway, would like to meet Expaticus, Lifeisabuffet, cinzia, parnell, Johnny English, BadBob, Kat, perdido, OG, gatzke, garibaldi, James Runner, HEM, mlovett, MadAxeMurderer (this list is not exhaustive).

My gatzke hate comes from his blind "republicanism". He seems to support everything that makes that party bad. Hence the punch. Like a penalty punch, or a moron fine. The beer afterward, if he would be up for it (can't imagine why) could be fine.

I would like to meet sarabyrd. She seems like the nicest person ever, a great mother hen for TT.

As an experiment, block all users on the first five pages of the "overall the top 20 posters" list showing a Munich location (n.b. you can't block mods), unblock Eurovol, BTC, DDBug and Don Riina and see whether or not your TT experience improves or not.
I'm convinced the secret handshake crowd does exactly the same the other way around.

I've met a fair few people and it hasn't slowed me down. So long as the people I know and like realise that I like them, I think it's fine. Besides, it stops me stomping Germans in the street to rant here.
But then mockery is something that's generally a sign of endearment where I grew up. It's a clear sign of social acceptance if you're able to make a joke about fucking a friend's mother and not have the friend tear off your ears.

Last time I speak to you about tractors.
Thankfully, there are enough other people out there to natter about farm machinery to. Some of them, *gasp* even live outside Munich.
Was my absolute pleasure to meet Komland recently, for example. Although we chatted about me having previously lived in Erlangen, where he now does rather than Massey Fergusons.

Unless you are being sarcastic I will have to disagree with you there BTC. I made the list and do call myself a leftist and proudly so. I will admit that it did disgust me when Conq would address certain TTers as leftist when in fact they were not. Maybe liberals but leftist def not.

it was tongue in cheek as Conqy has a tendency to label some of us as 'leftists' and then claim that we are narrowminded and partisan. I do not want to get off too far on a tangent here, but my idea of what constitutes a leftist (which is anyhow a very broad term) is pretty similar to the Webster definition of leftism-
QUOTE
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/leftist1: the principles and views of the left ; also : the movement embodying these principles2: advocacy of or adherence to the doctrines of the left
Note that there is no suggestion that a leftist is necessarily a Communist (although a very tiny minority of leftists are Communists). I think it is fair to say that TTers such as eurovol and BTC have, in the aggregate, left-leaning political beliefs (especially since they are, respectively, current and former party activists for parties in their homelands which are left of center). A person who is a liberal within the US political context has, in the aggregate, political beliefs which are left of center, so I see nothing pejorative about, accurately in my view, referring to them as a leftist.
I might want to remind those complaining about my use of the broad term leftist that I have been labeled several different things by some of our more politically intense TTers which were not accurate.
At any rate, the inclusion of those on the admittedly non-exhaustive list of TTers I would like to meet had nothing whatsoever to do with their political views as I would like to discuss other things with them. If I wanted to talk solely about politics I would not need to meet any TTer in person as we already do a lot of that online.
FYI, BTC, I would also say that Kat, garibaldi and cinzia are leftists, and they were also on the list. Furthermore, I could not tell you with any certainty where mlovett, James Runner or even parnell stand on the political spectrum, yet I would like to meet them as well.
