Where to change old DMs into Euros

Exchanging Deutsche Marks for new Euro money

I believe it's still possible to convert old dmarks
into euros. It's probably taken care of by the
Deutsche Bank. My question is where to go in
Munich? A search on "Deutschmark" on the
official website yields no results.
Any pointer is greatly appreciated.
Irish Lassie
AFAIK you can do it almost about everywhere, sometimes even a lot of shops take them or do special "Deutschmark Days" where you even get a discount if you pay in DM (at least they do that ecvery now and then in Berlin)

The German Central Bank (not to be confused with Deutsche Bank) exchanges DM into Euro at no charge.

For details, see here: (in German)

Walmart and C&A do the Deutsch-Mark-Days.

My mom came to visit recently and brought 200DM with her. Is it still possible to exchange DM for euros? If so, where? Thanks!

There is another way to get rid of old DMarks, and it is to give them away for a good cause wub.gif .
The donated money goes to the UNICEF.

Hi,

Does anyone know if any banks or maybe the post office will still exchange DM?

My friends mum found 150 DM in notes in the back of a draw and naturally wants to change them if possible.

Cheers

Best adivce: use them as T.P.

In the run-up to conversion, the official advice was that there would be no time-limitation on being able to change your old Deutschmarks, but that you would have to do it at a state bank. As far as I am aware, this is still the case.
