"I LIKE IT"

Diesen Freitag, 27. Februar 2004, ab 23.00 Uhr

Funky Kitchen, Blumenstrasse 28

Peter Kruder (G-Stone, Wien)
DJ Hell (Gigolo, München)
Michael Reinboth (Compost, München)
Theo Thönnessen (Into Somethin', München)
Julian Fischer (Salvador Group, München)
Michi Mettke (Beanfield, München)

-------------------------------------------------------

Another Compost Party celebrating the release of "I Like It" a comp where Peter Kruder, DJ Hell, Michael Reinboth and Theo Thönnessen each select a few of their favorite tunes. Check Compost Records for more info.

And you best go really early if you want to stand a chance of getting in. I would love to go, but the risk of getting turned away is too great for me, plus the TT party is tonight, and GNO/BNO on Saturday. But, I thought some might like to give it a go. If you get in, should be a nice time. And if you do go, give the doorman a swift kick in the teeth for me. ph34r.gif

Pao,
it was a shame that you wouldn't have got the chance to go to DJ Hell's club in Traunstein called Villa. Why Traunstein? Because Hell comes from near there. It closed in January (due to drugs offences) unfortunately but was a real word of mouth thing. Sadly it is no more. I'm not sure if a new version will be opening but if it does, I'll let you know.

Im not too sure what type of music we are talking about here, but if its drum n bass (kruder has been known to do dnb sets among other sorts) then I have some info about the dnb scene in Munich.

DnB scene sux a bit in Munich, it was always just the occasional teeny bopper event at the Muffathalle.

Last year the Made in Munich series started and things improved a bit. Its more of an underground scene, theres some wicked djs, phat mcs, and good old hard out dnb. They have them in this old wharehouse, cheap as hell, only a donation to get in.

The crowds will be smaller than what you are used to, but the atmosphere should be good.

The 3rd Made in Munich DnB event is happening this Saturday!

Apart from that, the next closest good dnb is Flex in Vienna.

As ever the Funky Kitchen puts on a great line-up.
It's just a shame, that even if I was here I still wouldn't go purely because I just wouldn't get in.
If anyone can though, have a great time.

the TT party is tonight, but the Funky kitchen is on friday, right? does anyone want to try to go? I have not been there yet...and would like to try it out. let me know--

@Georgia, If you want to go. Get there before 22:00 and stand by the door, so you will be one of the first to be let in. I am afraid this is the only chance you have of getting in. When we were there for a similar event, there were 100+ people waiting by the time they opened the door, and they let in a few groups and started to become selective i.e. not selecting us.

@Kza, not necessarily dnb, more of a freestyle night, so they may throw in some. I imagine this night to be deep quality dance music from almost every genre.
