On Saturday, 29 October, the Munich Kangaroos go to Frankfurt to contest this year's grand final. Game starts at 2pm. The opponents are yet to be decided, but will be either Hamburg or Berlin.

If anyone's in Frankfurt that weekend, it would be great if you come down to the ground and support us. A couple of Toytowners (including myself) will be playing. More details are available on the AFLG website:

http://www.aflg.de

Hope to see some of you there!!

Just to let you know how we went...

Well we won:
13.4.82 to 0.4.4

So by 78 points.

And that makes us German Champions!!! biggrin.gif

congrats.

I think you add them don't you. It is the number of points in each of the three (20 minute?) periods I think (6 pts for a score in the middle and one point for a score between the outer and middle posts - sorry don't know the technical terms). Feel free to correct me anyone. Although my reckoning doesn't result in a 78 point difference sad.gif

EDIT nah, got it. 1st figure is number of 6 pointers and 2nd figure is number of 1 pointers (behinds apparently, thanks Jeeves). Third figure is total number of points.

Thanks guys...head is pretty sore today. We partied pretty hard after winning!!

Scoring is as follows.

We scored 13 goals (each worth 6 points) 4 behinds (each worth 1 point) Total 82 points.

They scored 0 goals and 4 Behinds Total 4 points.

So yes, it was very one-sided. But they beat us in the GF last year, so we had a point to prove...

EDIT: According to the website, we scored 13.8.86 - maybe I got it wrong then.
Topsy
well done Hazza and the rest of the team!
Mailbags
and can you believe that mightypies won the "Brownlow" for the best player in the competition? Well done to the big gimp. Joint winner with another Munich fella, whose TT name I don't know, but may be known now as "Supercoach".
