Thought I'd start this poll following the Robbie thread. Seems tastes seem to have changed the 80's...

I was actually wondering the other day why so many (even young) men have hair so short it looks shaved. Blech - run your fingers through my stubble, baby?

You should have allowed for multiple choices..

Hair, What hair turns you off?
Pubic. On a toothbrush.
Ditto hair on backs and nipples.

Pubic hair on a toothbrush. Right.

Yeah, the poll was supposed to be multiple choice, but it's my first poll. Women definitely seem to like clean-shaved guys these days. What surprised me though was my ex-girlfriend wanting me to pluck my chest! Flatly refused! Having mentioned it to my sister, she said she liked shaved armpits (on a guy). So, there's me with long hair and hairy chest - and I once had a beard too. I ain't ever gonna get a chick unless I start looking gay???

Long hair, always. I'm not really happy with a shaved chest either, as it speaks of a bit too much vanity, but it's not usually the first thing I notice. Long hair, without exception, has always been a turn off for me.

Don't worry Ulysses, there are still plenty of women who love hair.
In men I like the natural look, shaving and plucking are a total turn off.

@ DDBug - Shaved heads are HOT! I personally love that look. I'm a fan of bald heads and/or very close cuts. Horses for courses, I suppose.

I find something distinctly weird about a guy who shaves his chest. Hairy backs are not attractive, but can be overlooked if it's not gorilla-worthy. Head-hair is a type thing. It depends. Clean is the only requirement.
Edit: And natural. Can't stand vain, primped guys.

dislikes...back hair, moustaches, tiny goaties, chin strap style beard, long hair, smelly dreads...
likes... bit of stubble - like 2 days at a festival, clean shaven and aftershaved, hairy chest, hair on legs with slightly worn patch on calfs from cycling or jsomething, nice chops, short cropped hair aka tennis ball.
mmmm

Nope. Well, in the face it's a lot more pleasant on the skin than getting an allergy from a designer stubble. But men that shave their hair off or their chest or armpits?? No way, man!

You look fine like you are and yes, I can judge having already met you. You don't have to worry about changing yourself in any physical way.
Personally I don't like beards, but there is a TT member that came to Curry Night one night where I can only say it suits him very well(Bearlymuc).

Ulysses, yes, we don't like long hair. In that picture you see about the limit of my acceptable hair length, and it's not because it's Brad Pitt, just the length is (barely) okay.

Up to shoulder length is ok. Ulysses has his like that and it suits him. I don't think short hair would suit him, though I'm not sure. Long hair can look good on many men, as long as they don't look styled. Styled men are to me one of the worst turn-offs.

I dislike hair that is long enough to be pulled back into a ponytail. Anything shorter than that (as Showem pointed out) is acceptable. I also have also found a shaved head to be very, very sexy on a man.
My biggest pet peeve about men's hair is an overabundance of "product" - we were giggling over a couple of German guys at Murphy's on Tuesday, who we kept referring to as "Greased Lightning" (thanks to sk8rgrl for that one!) Sticky, gelled hair is a huge turnoff. It screams of vanity and metrosexuality.

Yeah, definitely should have been multiple choice! I don't like beards - they really age guys too(advantageous for some I suppose) but as MB says it's easier on the skin than stubble! I find long hair sexy - depends on the guy who has it though - doesn't suit everyone! Definitely wouldn't refuse Brad Pitt(thanks for the photo Ulysses

Interesting, the stats show that the worst thing a guy can do is grow his hair long - at least not past the shoulders. I would have thought a beard or moutstache would've been worse...

I like two extremes--really long hair and really short hair. When a man's head has just a couple of millimeters of hair on it it feels so good to rub and touch! A lot of men do long hair poorly--split ends, not brushed often enough, always in a ponytail.

But a well-groomed head of long thick hair--yes! My husband's hair is down to his waist.
To add a couple more unpopular opinions, I prefer men to shave their underarms and shave or at least trim their bikini

area.
The only hair styles that really turn me off are ones that are not clean or ones attached to assholes.

I'm going to try to put this as delicately as possible: all I'll say is (especially for all you guys who rave over the Brazilian bikini wax) please do me the same courtesy of making sure your nethers are trimmed and presentable. I'm not expecting a full-on scalping, but don't make me go hunting through the forest, if you know what I mean.
