I am an aussie, in munich, and I feel i have settled into my work, worked out the train system, and got myself a new bike.
Now i am starting to feel a little homesick, but it is not time to go home yet. Would be nice to have some other aussies to meet, or even other like minded english speakers. Dont get me wrong. I am trying to learn the german... but it is nice to rest sometimes in your mother tongue.

Trouble is, the main way to meet seems to go to local pissup venue and do as the locals do... .drink lots of beer.
I am not a beer drinker... never have been really.
Are there any others out there who would like to meet during the day!!?? Go hiking... biking... just eating in a beer garden... but i guess the beer would help in meeting new people... so there is that...
I have this monday off (19th of March) ... anyone up for an ... apfelschorle ??

Maybe check out some of the sports listed on TT instead (Aussie Rules, squash, touch rugby, badminton, etc.). There's still some drinking involved, but somewhat less than the events where drinking is the point of being there, and you won't get ridiculed for drinking apfelschorle either.

Since you mentioned Monday, you could meet some new people and have a drink if you go to the weekly quiz at The Arc. It does take place in a pub, but AFAIK drinking beer is not compulsory.
