Finding happiness

Turn the situation around

You know how it is a vicious cycle: The more you whinge, the unhappier you'll be, so instead of (reading) another negative rant/whinge etc., I would like to share some positive thinking.

In Dale Carnegie's book "How to stop worrying and start living", he wrote about a stenographer whose daily task was to fill out printed forms for oil leases, inserting figures and statistics - boring! She then resolved to make it interesting, by contesting herself everyday: She counted the number of forms she filled out each morning, and then tried to excel that record in the afternoon. This goes on day after day. Soon, she was able to fill out more dull printed forms than any other stenographer in her division. That did not get her any praise nor thanks nor promotion nor increased pay BUT it helped prevent fatigue that is spawned by boredom. "It gave her a mental stimulant. Because she had done her best to make a dull job interesting, she had more energy, more zest, and more happiness out of her leisure hours."

So, try and make use of your situation (whatever it might be) and see the positive sides of all things which will make you happier, and makes you enjoy life more. smile.gif

Sounds like that old country song about "Making the Best of a Bad Situation". Gotta find the lyrics/singer/down-load the thing instead of working, it will make me much happier.

You should only get upset about things that you cannot change... if you don't like something, do something about it.

Come on guys ... SMILE (it's good for you!)!

Just start and excel sheet that counts the number of times you get annoyed by a makler stealing your time / energy / money and everything will be hunky dory. Yey!

Found happiness and lost it, finders keepers, losers weepers, can't be happy all of the time. That's not normal, either.
