I don't think your problem is that you're not British, its the fact that you weren't born anywhere near the 1980's biggrin.gif

Scratch 'n' sniff sticker collections

The Tshirts were alot more fun!
worm
I just read that list and there wasn't one mention of Joey Deacon.
LucyK
Global Hyper-colour t-shirts ... oh my god!!!

I was never allowed one (phew!) but didn't they change the design of them after a particularly hot summer, so that only the front panel and back panel changed colour, to avoid embarrasing colour changes in armpit areas... (ruined all the fun of them!)
worm
I had a purple one that lasted for precisely two days before my loving mother decided to boil wash it and it remained permanently light blue from then on. Curses!

You owned, or wanted a "Frankie says..." T-shirt

But surely if they really were children of the 80's then they would know that it is Frankie say not says?

Oh... and the aerobie thing? I'm not sure, but wasn't there a claim that someone had thrown it over a mile, and it all turned out to be rubbish? I forget... I think it does hold the furthest thrown object record, but I don't think it is that far
benpanter
ah... now I've re-read it. The aerobie scare was that it could cut your head off. It doesn't - but it don't 'alf sting.
worm
lol, the lethal aerobies.

I will add to the list:

And nobody was actually killed. They usually just ran off or were left unconcious. Once BA got shot in the leg. Twas the only actual injury I remember.

I think he may have injured Murdoch a few times whilst they were trying to sedate him with milk before putting him onto a plane.

hmm.. even though I was born in 80, I don't remember most of these things, just the music because of my older sisters.

Weren't Hypercolor t-shirts from the 90s? God, I think 90s fashion was just as bad. Anyone heard of the brand Multiples? A bunch of stretchy-cotton gear in all different colors. You could turn a tube top into a belt or wear it as a headband. The parachute pants tapered at the ankles were also a big hit.
gideon

I think to be a child of the 80s you probably need to have been born by about 75 (I'm born 72 and wouldn't really consider myself a child of the 70s)
