Some of us are anxious for the next game (despite sore muscles) & I wanted to see if we can get enough people together for Thursday evening. Details are below & as always, newbies (to the forum &/or the sport) are welcome.
What: Co-ed Softball
When: Thursday, 8.September.2005 @6pm
Where: In the
English Garden near
Dietlindenstr. and Hirschau Biergarten, where the Ultimate Frisbee group normally plays on Sunday (see map below)
Who: Everyone welcome (men and women), even if you have never played before and just want to try it out.
How: Post here- so we have an idea of numbers. (PM if you want a handy number to make sure you find the location)
What to bring: Only yourself and maybe some beer (or other eats & drinks). There's also a kiosk next to the field as well as the Hirschau Biergarten. We have bats, balls, and plenty of gloves for anyone who doesn't have one.
i'll come. same position as last time, mind

ps: but will bring others to play for me. outsourcing is gooooood

Sep 6 2005, 2:17 pm
Sorry, I speak English.
Why is it called "co-ed"? Are there school girls playing with school boys?
yes, wear your vicar frock. it'll be more exciting that way.
ps: Toast you bastard. I is retired.

Ooh, I hope I can make it again. Took me until Monday evening to figure out why my back was sore though. I can only imagine how much persimmon's butt hurt. Just freshly twisted my ankle an hour ago though, so I'm not making any promises until later.

In Chicago (not sure about the rest of the US) we say co-ed for any sports that are open to men and women even if they are adults.
And, I'll be there!

Just out of curiosity...and my weak Central-North American brain, does a Canadian Club meeting involve a bunch of people sitting around and drinking fizzy water and telling funny fizzy water anecdotes?

Maybe I should attend the Canadian Club and pick up a few pointers. I honestly thought is was club soda, but then again, I thought Dana Carvey was the Prime Minister in the late 80's

Will keep my eyes peeled for the next game.

unless you really do count the number of hits you make in co-ed, (with kids, mommies, and a good deal of injured gimps), softball. then what i really meant was um congratulations on your one big hit.
