Froop Alarm!

Most annoying German TV commerical

Ok, I would think that most people here at TT would agree that German television is bad. Well, 'bad' doesn't really even begin to describe how painful it can be sometimes. Fortunately, even some German seem to recognize that fact and there is, in my opinion, an ok selection of imported shows from the US and UK. But, why can't they start doing something about those god awful commercials? After watching Spiegel TV the other day with the ADHD stricken kid from the Froop commerical (Frucht alaaaaarm!!)as guest, I couldn't help but wonder ... do Germans actually find this annoying little shit cute/amusing? Considering the amount of 'airplay' this commerical gets, I would venture to say yes. Personally, I think the overactive thing demonstrates the need for more corporal punishment in today's society- but who am I to talk about child rearing (I am homo afterall). Anyhoo, this has GOT to be my top pick for Germany's most annyoing commercial. Was wondering what other members' picks would be. What's the commerical that you absolutely love to hate?

The deo commercial with the stunt-men really turns me on, they are so over-cool. All the Axe ads, the agency has been doing good work for years. I don't know about the bad ones coz I mentally block them. I always have a book to read during commercial breaks. OK, anything with kiddy snacks and size 6 Moms feeding their brats with sugar-filled Pingu, Fruchtzwerge, Milchschnitte etc. (Now being pushed by the Klitschko bros).

Yes, otherwise Mia-Sophie (ADHD Kid) wouldn't have realised her "Fruchtalarm" Song

"Erdbeer,Banane und Ananas, saßen auf der Straße und erzählten sich was ... "

Sorry I disagree - For me, the absolute most annoying ads are those ring tone ads. 'Jamba spar abo'. I don't have MTV or VIVA on at all anymore because they are so annoying...

Agree with Hazza...have had to stop watching MTV all together becuase of those damn things...repeating the same 3 commercials in a row about 9 million times is just plain annoying...do people actually buy that crap?
UrbanAngel
I'd say Jamba and all those, along with the screaming jingle - Kik, Der Textildiskont! *shudders*

Actually, the Mia-Sophie and the ringtone ads have something in common...or they will VERRRRRY soon. Obviously this "song" if you can call it that has been made-for-ringtone using the tried and true model of sni-sna-snappy or whatever it was called. So if you thought you hated ringtones, wait till Mia-Sophie gets her turn!

Or what about the beer commerical (I forget which one) ... 'I feel, I'm alive today ...' Lord, I don't know about you, but I feel alive everday that I'm breathing ...

I can vouch for that...

I work for a ringtone company...

...don't shoot me, I have to pay the rent somehow...
MoiLV
Just don't say Jamba because I want to burn down that company. I paid 3 Euros a month for about 15 months without knowing it. Only got one ringtone. On the bill it just says "externe Dienstleistungen" and is hidden at the bottom. Never checked it.

Because you probably just ordered one and didn't cancel your subscription (most people don't even realise they have one...)

Pleeease do not refer to it as my company... cool.gif

Anyone who pays anything for those ringtones is ripping themselves off.

You don't need to pay for any tunes. You can download all sorts of soundfiles off the net for free. Much of it legally...
