Oh wise old owls of TT, I need a shove in the right direction.

Does anyone here have any info on renting a bus for 16-20 people, getting them to take us to our destination on a friday, then to go away and come back and collect us on sunday?

Anybody done this before? Any recommended companies (or ones to avoid)? What kind of prices are to be expected?

I have found a few such comps on the net, but just thought I'd test the TT waters and see if theres any more info to be had!

We hired one for a conference, a 50 seater to go Tegernsee and back (on two different days) cost was about 300E each way as I recall, and to get a 27 seater was only 30E cheaper.

I can't remember exactly but I can check tomorrow.

My hubby works for a rental company, and organizes ski trips all winter for the ski club - he says to contact Geldhauser - 08104 89454 and ask for Christian Gschwendner. Tell them you got the number from "Dave" from the ski club. Geldhauser does all the munich international ski club trips for us and are very reliable and fair.

Eurolines, and some of the MVV/MVG Partner companies will rent busses/drivers on the side... Give Larcher in Markt Schwaben a call:

0812177760

Or their Website (English)

my wife has a special arrangement with powertagesfahrten coz she's been using his company for years and they don't normally operate outside the 'official' ski season. so she recommends to contacts autobus oberbayern who have nice coaches with all facilities - http://www.autobusoberbayern.de/

good luck.

I'm looking for recommendations for a coach company who are (ideally) reliable and cheap, preferably speaking English too!

I need a company who has different size coaches on offer (larger than mini buses though) and can ferry a large group of people around. I've booked a few in England, but this is the first time I'm doing so in Munich. I've got a list of a few companies from t'internet, but ca you think of any you have experience with?

I'd really like to check out the Fücker company too, but it seems like they're not based in Munich smile.gif

Thanks!

Not Munich, but on the outskirts...

Try Larcher They have all different size busses and are usually good on the prices. Also do a search, cause I can swear this ? has been covered before..

Update: And Bus and coach hire companies it is (The Other thread)

Of course I searched tongue.gif Didn't find anything under 'coach' or 'bus' though. Thanks for the tips, I'll have a look.

I just found a really long list of companies on this website: http://www.muenchen.de/Rathaus/raw/Tourism...busunt_muc.html

Edit: How on earth did my search words not pick up on that thread? It's exactly what I was looking for, DK!
