Not being a person for just buying things that are advertised on my telly, but also taking into account my boredom levels at the moment - yesterday I bought the new magazine VIEW. I think its a great pictorial review of the month, and includes some great photography and reportage pieces. http://www.view-magazin.de/ is their homepage.

Had a look in the newsagents - had more words and less photos than I was expecting, but still some good pics.

Just having looked at the website, it looks to me like it's aiming to be Germany's Life Magazine - here's an article on Life's resuscitation from NPR in 2004
Life Itself -- they have Sudokus too now, in case anyone in particular is interested... it actually doesn't look like I expected. Oh dear, not at all really. Looks like a slightly classier Parade. It's now just a weekly newspaper insert in the Sunday paper with the funnies.
