Summer is over, Oktoberfest is over. Time to start cooking again!

As per the last two times, 6-8 people, at least 4 cooks.

I'm thinking a harvest theme. Lots of nice veggies and fruit available this time of year.

My place, this Sunday, 4:30pm. The early start seemed to be appreciated last time (and no one comes on time anyways rolleyes.gif ), so we'll keep that.

First come, first invited. PMs to the usual address. A few non-cooks will be welcome too, so even if you can't cook, you can come. You will be number 1 dishwasher instead. smile.gif
Showem
And that's 9 of us already, so we are full! If anyone cancels, I'll post here the openings.
Showem
Room for one more cook has opened up.

I will be at the Schopfer stammtisch. Can I come just to dine? tongue.gif
Showem
No, sorry, not this time Roots. We already have 4 people who aren't attached to cooking anything. I want another cook if anyone.

What sort of cooking is involved? Is this chopping, prep, that sort of thing? I used to cook back in the day, but it's been a while.
Showem
UpQuark, read the thread linked at the top. If you can make a dish for us to try and provide a recipe, you qualify. A starter or a salad would be best. Everyone helps with the chopping, prepping stuff.
UpQuark
Ah. Include me out then. I have no decent recipes these days.
Showem
Excellent food and company, once again!
The menu, for any who are interested:

Rice paper packets with Chinese roasted pork (and chicken for the non-pork eaters)
Salted zucchini quiche/cake
Salad with cherry tomatoes, candied cinnamon walnuts and softened goat cheese
Roast chicken with rosemary, lemon and garlic
Squash pie

It was a lovely evening, thanks to everyone who came along and helped, in every way shape and form. smile.gif

Had a great time and NOW I've remembered I said I'd post that music I was talking about that I think is so cool:

Secret Agent: The soundtrack for your stylish, mysterious, dangerous life. For Spys and P.I.'s too! [SomaFM]

If you can't just click on the above, go to http://shoutcast.com and search for spy and this stream should come up. I like it for the background, it's mostly instrumental so you don't end up listening to the words (which can be distracting in conversation). I like shoutcast in general, don't buy cds anymore -- type "elvis costello" and click on the station that's playing him right now, for example. Great.
