Hello there, listen I'm new to Germany and was wondering where is good to eat and sink a few?
Hazza
That's a very broad question. There are already a number of threads on this subject. Depends what you like, really.

and sink a few?

there is a distinct lack of working mens clubs and snooker halls imho.
Keydeck
'erm, Bremen is quite nice.
doubtcha
Cheers, was going through some of the threads that interested me and was just wondering who came second in that drinking competition?

(presuming, naturally, that the Paddies are still sitting quietly in the corner skulling pints and wondering where everyone is gone?!)

See, I feel bad now for making smart-arsed comment. Sudden waves of compassion are not a good thing.

Right Doubtcha, assuming that you are in Munich there's a number of approaches that you have.

If you're looking for information in English then either you can look at the nightlife info on this website or you can go to http://www.munichnights.com Both are in English and both offer info on bars, restaurants, clubs, etc.

If you look at the Events category of this forum you'll find details of Girls Night Out, Boys Night Out, Tuesday Meetups, Poetry Slams, Unemployed Lunch, and so on and so forth. The Going Out category also has lots of info on nights out and venues.

If it's more specific info you want, personal recommendations etc, then post a bit more info about who you are, what you're looking for and people will no doubt offer their assistance.

@ doubtcha: If youre talking about the international beer comp, we havent held the inaugral event yet. Everyone is too scared Im going to whip their ass. And with a mullet like mine who wouldnt be? If you´d like to nominate yourself and a fellow irish into a team we´d gladly welcome it. Just post on the appropriate thread. biggrin.gif

@Presh: Seriously,
Are people actually willing to take on the paddies? Do ye want us to start the day before the competition or summit, just to give the others a chance!!!

@Keydeck: Appreciated.

All you have to do is sign up... go to: events then beer head to head.

And make sure you put your name down for the Boys Night Out on the 28th. That way you can meet plenty of new people and see a few nightspots into the bargain.
