English-speaking playgroups on a Saturday

hi everybody!

my husband speaks english with our daughter (5 months old) & we're searching for an english playgroup to join. the problem is that my husband has time only on saturday & sunday.

do you know if there are any english playgroups on saturday?
(we live in Milbertshofen/Am Hart, near to Schwabing)

Sticky Fingers is an English-language play center and they offer a "Daddy's Day" once a month on a Saturday--I think it costs 10 Euros per time, and you have to register with them for 30 Euros. SF has baby groups during the week, the Daddy's Day might really be more appropriate for toddlers, but from their website it looks like your husband could already start going if he wanted. I haven't been myself as have started taking my 5-month old to the Munich Munchkins baby group in Milbertshofen, but have heard good things about the facility.

I am hoping to go back to work in January/February and might be interested in attending/starting a Saturday playgroup once I can't make MM during the week anymore. We live in Moosach, so not too far from you. Maybe you or your husband could PM me if you'd like to discuss.

I think we'll try MM first, though I'll have to go with her instead of my husband (the problem is I speak Russian to my daughter & have to speak only Russian with her; I also have forgotten most of my English). Perhaps we'll meet each other?
I also think "Daddy's Day" once a month is not much, isn't it?

Hi, I am wondering if there have been any new Saturday (or Sunday) playgroups since the last time this was asked? I have a 7-month-old and we can make it only on weekends.

hoe about we are starting one? My little one is 3 ´weeks now so we could just set up a playgroup soon. Anyone else interested? I am located in Munich north.

So how should we go about doing it? I've never been to any playgroups before so I am not sure how it works... Maybe one of you can start the ball rolling?

The 'baby' group that I'm part of, we find someplace to go if the weathers nice, if not (or if it's a child's birthday), then we take it in turns at each others houses.

HI everyone

Its Daddy's Day at Sticky Fingers tomorrow from 10-12. This session is for busy Daddy's who due to work commitments may not have the opportunity to spend quality time with their little ones during the week. In particular, its also difficult in Munich to find activities at the weekend if you have a baby for example - and this session also suits Fathers who are introducing English or who want to expose their children to more English.

Tomorrow, there will be a 'baby safe area', enabling Daddy's with little babies the opportunity to relax and meet other Dad's whilst playing and spending quality time with their little ones. You don't have to be a member to attend Daddy's Day - the attendance fee is just 10 Euros which includes taxes.

The session includes playtime with age specific toys, the premises boasts a wide range of baby safe equipment including ride on toys, soft play blocks, tunnels and baby swings. There is a song time with instruments and props, a creative activity for the older children and a refreshment period. New Dad's are offered lots of support from myself and the other Dad's in attendance, and its a great way for Dad's to network and swap parenting skills!

In addition, we also have lots of Dad's that attend the Baby and First Walker sessions during the week and offer a session card, so that if Dad is only able to attend once a month during the week, the card provides greater flexibility.
