Addicted to TT

Can't stop reading it

This week I realised I am addicted to this forum.

I come on now in the evenings and very briefly during the day now. I don't watch much TV anymore either. MY wife thinks I am always on TT, but it is somewhat true.

JE said TT fills a void for him as he works alone. I would argue that it fills a huge need in all of us expats, that although it is largely an honour to be expat here in this country which has lots to offer we miss out on something which we can't quite describe, from home, be it the States or Britain.

My problem is I don't get out much being a family man but I hope to invite anyone who wants to come mountain biking out of Holzkirchen when I live there. I can meet people at the station then take them out in the countryside.

What say you all?
Tara
yep, I am addicted.

I identified with Johnny English's following comment about it filling a void; I also work home alone.

QUOTE (Johnny English @ Sep 29 2005, 2:42 pm) *
I work 90% on my own in the office all week. ... TT fills that natural "office chat" void for me, but it's better 'cos when I need to concentrate on something, or am behind in my work, it leaves me alone and sits patiently until I return. ... Also I can pick and choose my conversations.

Admittedly that doesn't explain why I'm on TT at 11.30 on a Friday night. Guess I'm addicted.

I think that it's a good sign I'm addicted when I was only the third person to post, and I'm now 9 time zones away!

No! I had to stop half-way on the way back home to see if someone had posted in the "i lost a shoe and the other one is just not right" thread.

I'm sitting here on holiday just checking for urgent emails and, no, I couldn't resist it. I tried just a quick google but before I knew it I was on to the hard stuff and straight onto the view new posts box. Have any others had this problem and is it treatable?

welcome to the TT anonymous club. All addicts welcome. I'm always looking up threads to see what the usual suspects post. The more provocative the better.
