Paintball / Gotcha fields near Munich

Where to play - and who's interested?

This is more an interest check and a request for information, than anything.

I have done some googling, and it looks like there is no field or hall to paintball in Munich. There is a hall in Straubing and in Regensburg.

Anyone know any better? I fancy gunning down some Toytowners.
SleeplessInMunich
Strange, I'd been told that Paintball was banned here in Germany. unsure.gif
Otherwise I'd love to do it.
gideon
its baned in germany. too many right wing groups were using them as training for thre forth reich. their parol was no longer blut und boden, but became paintballs and power.
parnell
CodeRed was planning to do something along these lines recently , I am definitely up for it.
Tim Hortons Lady
Forget it...just saw the post above me...why it was band
Yeti
I'm interested as well, purely in the interest of male bonding obviously.

It hasn't been banned, the calibre of legal paintball weapons has been regulated.

There was an old thread on this I am sure. Didnt someone want to organise a paintball trip to the Czech Republic?
kathie
I'm pretty sure you can still do it in Germany´- a friend of my husband's was talking about organising a group to do it a while ago... it had a stupid name... will post later when I find out what it was.

Edit: O.k, so they call it Gotcha. In true German fashion. Apparently the guns are a different calibre to the ones used for paintball in the UK, but the principle is the same.
Found this link, with a list of all paintball organisers in Munich and the area. Paintball in and around Munich. A google search for gotcha münchen came up with a bunch of results...
grazzenger
found 5 venues in bayern but 4 are up near wuerzburg and one near passau. 2 by innsbruck but one looks crap, no website for the other. www.pbportal.de - all the links are from there including austria.

used to love going running around in the woods in the uk shooting friends. class!!
UrbanAngel
Yeti - do you have a gun licence? wink.gif
The way Yeti shoots, I'd bagsy him first for my team.
However, I'm not interested (just to make it clear). I get flashbacks from Byker Grove from when PJ and Duncan went paintballing, and someone shot PJ after he took off his glasses, then he went blind smile.gif
Katrina
This is true. When the revolution comes, do not be up against the wall if Mr Yeti is doing the shooting!

Paintball is not banned in Germany!!! It is only restricted to authroised fields/halls run by companies who must also takeout huge insurance...

Softair guns (Look dam close to the real thing) are also not banned, but they are regulated. Battery powered and pump guns are limited to .5-1 joule, while gas powered rifels are limited to 1-3 joule. But again you can only use them witin your own house ??? or at Authroized companies/fields/halls...

Paint ball is messy and if you play "in the red" (Not Authroized location) you don't want to leave colored trees around telling everybody what was going on whould you? Which is where Airsoft comes in. Airsoft uses plastic BB type balls (Snipper Riffles can use metal BB's) so there remains no traces of what went on.

If yall are up for some Softair in Pearllacher/Ebersberg forrest after 1700
or so then we could deff. have something going.
Inflatablewoman
From my searching, I am finding nothing close.

Was Bubblylady I think mate - and yes, was hours away by bus just over the Czech border. The upside was the opposing team comprises entirely of naked ladies for you to shoot at - any you hit you can shag afterwards.

Just think, the sting of a paintball at 200 mph, splatting on her bare ass. OUCH! that leaves a nice little welt. Plus, she will feel that ass sting for a few days.

Or in true "saddo forum geeks" stylie we can play live online:

http://www.live-paintball.com/

They have a video of a chick in a bikini getting shot at here:

http://www.live-paintball.com/paintball.cfm

this is an offshoot of the very politically correct:

http://live-shot.com/demo.shtml which is the site were you get to shoot real live animals online!!! Cool huh.
Inflatablewoman
Thats the most silly thing I have seen in a while.

I am interested in paint of softair. Let me know if an event gets organized. Whereever we go , I hope they have rental equipment as I do not even own a pair of goggles
AnthonyDoesEurope
Yeah, add me to the interested list.
quarblotz
i'd LOVE to play paintball! any chance we can go before october 5th?
Yeti
Silly yes, but somehow strangely compulsive.
Darkknight
@Inflatablewoman

For the Local laws/regs of a country your gonna have to look on Paintball/Airsoft forum sites.. Keeping in mind that all of them are in english.
Keydeck
Add your name to the Interests page to get an idea of how many people are actually into it. Then perhaps we could put something together.

Don't forget your overalls Jules, or is this going to be nekkid paintballing ?
Darkknight

Well I did say I was only coming if MonksTown was too didn't I? tongue.gif
Yeti
Well we'll just have to hope you're still going through that transitional phase then, otherwise we is dead, and naked !
CodeRed
the field over the czech border is fantastic. been there last year. it is enourmous and offers all kinds of different terrain. service is professional and costs are okayish. I believe it was 65€ for the equipment rental, meal, 200 shots and the night in the barracks. youll need extra rounds so total cost will be around 80-90euros.
parnell
So are u in or do u have to do your nails or something ?
Yeti
I'm in but not this month.
parnell
Sounds like something a married person would say
Yeti
@Parnell

laugh.gif

Or somebody with no spare cash. Same thing really.
treehugger
Ok, ladies, wear protection. If you haven't got any then make the paintballing people give you some. I went once and got shot all over and we ladies weren't given anything to cover our tender parts. The bruises you get afterwards are corkers. They are big, black and blue bumps the size of the paintballs themselves.

Ouch! unsure.gif
zimmer
WOW! paintball suddenly pop up in my head last month but i think i din find anything on TT about it, but now! would be cool to do it with ya TTers. i'll ask my Czech friend about it & post if i find something!
CodeRed
it should be www.gotchaspielfeld.de but i couldbe wrogn
Showem
I've only played paintball indoors - I might be interested in playing it outdoors. But if it's not soonish, I think I'll wait until the spring to play. Getting shot at while hiding in the snow and cold is a little too realistic for my taste.
Yeti
Canadians ain't what they used to be.
Showem
Hey, if I want to relive WWI, I'll just go and reread The Wars. That book would convince most Canuck's to a wimpy point of view.
sea-king
Why don`t you all go and do what I did a few times in my wasted youth, go and get shot at for real. You`ll find your taste for this sort of crap goes straight out the window no error. Guns are dangerous ( any kind of gun) blink.gif and should not be used to play Macho-Crap games.
Yeti
I'm sure you're right Sea-king but I don't think anybody with half a brain is going to mistake a tour over the water for a day of paintballing.
sea-king
I learned that if your going to point a gun at somebody then kill the bugger, reducing war and violence to a game is totally wrong, I lost 3 pals cause of guns.
Yeti
Real guns, real bullets, real war - fake guns, paintballs, game.

I'm sorry your friends died. I can understand that you find paintballing macho crap and maybe if I had your experiences I would think the same. But I haven't.

That's my summer fun with a water pistol out the window then.
parnell
yup

sea-king
Well I really put the mockers on this thread didn`t I? blink.gif
Jimbo
You did a little bit - fair enuff though, sir - you're entitled to your opinion. Have to say though - it wasn't really guns that killed your mates, so much as the people who pulled the trigger (be that by accident or by design).
