Spooks has to be the most quality series every produced by the BBC. im totally hooked and have seen every epsiode since whenever it started. who else is watching it?

Owain Glyndwr
me. also hooked. although i stupidly missed the first two episodes of series 4.

i am currently trying to "obtain" them.
Schotte
is this series 4 at the moment then?

i watched the first 2 episodes of this current series last night. absolute genius. ive never seen anything this well written before.

i like the way even a series like this can still take the piss out of the Americans
Jimbo
You been watching 'Lost' Schotte? I've never seen Spooks, but the adverts when it first came out put me off - looked a bit 'mickey mouse' M.I.5 to me and not very realistic - p'raps I should try it...
Schotte
i only saw the first 2 episodes of Lost but will probably watch it next time its on. Spooks gets rave reviews in the papers Jimbo you cant go on missing it. Its def not mickey mouse!! even the good guys are known to snuff it in this show.

really, its on thursday this week, dont miss it!

I have only ever seen the 1st series of Spooks, DEFINITELY worth watching.

Might have to try and obtain them myself.

i was actually talking to Tom about this show at Wiesn on saturday and convinced him (Ithink) to get hold of it. Well worth watching from series one.

another top quality episode tonight. brilliant stuff.

Hustle is also coming back to BBC soon, that should be a belter if you like spooks.

We watched Spooks for the first time last night and I really enjoyed it. Beats all the other crap thats on tv, 'sept for Lost which is fab. Is this really series 4? I've missed loads if thats the case...take it I'm right in assuming that the lovely looking chap is married to the other Mi5 lass?

Jimbo wasnt so impressed - He was converted a wee bit towards the end though I think...something about it not being realistic enough for him...doesnt get much more real than terrorist attacks on the houses of parliament! I'ts quite ironic that he finds Spooks not very realistic by loves Lost...mmmm...Jurassic Park!

yep, Hustle is also a great show from the Beeb! Also well worth getting hold of.

It wasn't very good - totally unrealistic - I mean, please, GPS transponders hidden in magnetic Zippos? Far too James Bond, and nowhere near what I imagine real MI5 bods get up to... Also far too much 'That's right - it's a Cat. I terrorist alert - inform the PM' type of stuff. Utter bollocks. If I'm going to suspend my disbelief I'm more than happy to do it for complete fiction like 'Lost', but 'Spooks' tries far too hard to be believable.
Owain Glyndwr
so I take it you work for MI5, then Jimbo? Cos only if you do, can you judge what is realistic or not, oder?

The Beeb often gets inside sources to help on their scripts. Classic case was Red Caps. Great series filmed with help from the MOD and especially from the RMP in Chichester and Germany.
Jimbo
Well, I've been interviewed for a job with MI5 and I do know a little bit about terrorists and counter terrorism, and Spooks is nothing at all like how it works - I mean, if MI5 was like that, explain why that poor bastard got shot on the tube? MI5 work is just like Police work only you don't wear a uniform and you don't have to work to quite as many rules - it most certainly does not however include entrapment, blackmail, dodgy Arabic accents and helicopters that seem able to hover within 100m of a target without being heard. You can't surely think it's like that? Or do actually believe that MI6 have invisble Aston Martins and watches with lasers built in?
