Hi all,

I am buying some furniture for my flat and trying not to spent too much money but I am a bit bored by IKEA style - even though almost all my furniture is Ikea!

Can anyone recommend some nice second-hand furniture shops in Munich?

Thanks a lot!

Try Kurz und Fündig for lots of secondhand furniture. You can buy the paper I think on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Diakonia Gebrauchtwarenhaus have second hand furniture. It's a bit hit and miss, as the selection changes regularly, but I'd say it's worth checking out.

I am looking for a funky (and cheap!) sofa for my new apartment. Does anyone know if there are any second- hand furniture markets or stores around Munich that may have what I am looking for??

Diakonia on Landshuterallee has some really nasty second-hand stuff. Maybe have a looksee there.

Kristie, I have a second-hand sofa that you can have for free. I dunno about 'funky' but it's still serviceable, albeit old. It can be yours gratis if you just come pick it up from my place. I'll even throw in a crate of beer if you'll take it off my hands.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll see about sending you some pics.

You might also try Freecycle München. Google for it.

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend any secondhand furniture shops in Munich? We're going to be moving to Munich soon and I just wondered if there are charity /secondhand shops similar to the ones we have in the UK?

Thanks.
