Highly recommended

well, I joined a gym yesterday. I came home from Canada not being able to fit into my jeans. (not even laying on the bed to do them up) It is a beautiful gym in Deggendorf called family fitness. I was impressed that the sauna, daycare and tanning beds were all included in the price of 30 euros. I'll probably never use the tanning beds but the day care is awesome.
as for working outit felt good to get back in the swing of things but my body aches today and >I am having a hard time lifting my chocolate bar to my mouth sad.gif

WHAT? You pay 30 € and get to go to the solarium for free? God, I'm getting so ripped off. I'm at Elixia and pay 75€ and have to pay up to 8 Euros for 13 minutes in the bed.. I don't go in the solarium anymore, though.. but once this girl tried to charge me 1,30 € for using a bath towel... wouldn't you expect some service for 75€?? Grrrr...

my yearly membership fee is only 59 euro!!!

I quit Elxia this year after ten years with them...they're SO overpriced...the gym's good quality and I liked that I could use all of the centers including the ones with pools!!!
but I got annoyed that they increased my fee every year due to renovational costs or to help pay for new equipment.
use my work gym now 30€ a year (what asnip) but I've heard that McFit is quite good value and they're opening more of them around Munich.

Welcome back Hockeywidow! Good to hear you are well and yes, that gym sounds like a very good offer. I used to be at Elixia, but left two months after moving to Munich. The one here in the North of Munich is seriously crummy, expensive and dirty. Not to mention that the courses got canceled or changed all the time without telling the people about it before the time (even when you phone to ask). My gym is the English Garden at the moment. Solariums are set to be very bad for your skin! I have never set a foot in one of them.

That gym sounds fantastic! But so far away! What is the cheapest gym in the city that has childcare? Anyone???
