Big thumbs up for Bavaria Satellite this morning! I just moved house on a Sunday, and they were there in the evening straight away getting me rigged up and upgraded so I could watch the MotoGP last night! Nothing is too much trouble for these guys.

Plus my new setup lets me do whizzy stuff like controlling Sky+ from different rooms etc. Nice one chaps!

What a super company.

I thought service had died in this part of the world. I was proved wrong yesterday, I called for help, an engineer turned up, nothing was to much trouble, and it was scorching hot day.

Been using these guys for years after being shafted by the other guy who does satellite systems in Munich. Can not mention the other guy's name for legal reasons but Bavaria Satellite rules in my book and I refer them to all who are interested.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Geoff at Bavaria Satellite for a fantastic service. My box was repaired on the day that it arrived (a Friday) and I received it back (in Heidelberg) on Saturday morning. I've plugged it in and it's working perfectly.

Having got used to "the customer comes second" mentality from a lot of companies over here - it's really great to be on the receiving end of such great service.

I have also very good service from Geoff and crew.

I have known Geoff and Co for about 7 or 8 years, and been a customer of his for about 18 months or so, if you want a good sat installation in Bavaria they are the top choice.

It's only when a problem occurs that the real worth of the supplier is seen, We had a Sky+ box for about a year with no problems and then decided to go for a sky+ HD and had serious problems the HD, stuff locked up, pic froze, no sound...all sorts...(Box was crap) Geoff and Co replaced the box did the biz moaning at Sky without even batting an eye and all sorted fast.

Also if you are watching Sky in Munich in a bar, its likely Geoff installed it, Maintains it, and sorts the problems out with Sky

yet another good job from Grinner (Bavarian Satalite) here at our new house, he came round scrambled up the roof (which scared the shit out of me 2 floors up and no ladder!) stuck up a new dish repositioned it to point it at Sky and stuck another cable down so our Sky+HD box would fully work, sticking the extra cable down would have been a few minutes work apart from the crap German builders who built this place it seems to have poured concrete into the trunking so the cable couldn't go any place...no comment on this...seems it happens quite a lot, but Grinner took some chunks out of the wall, drilled a few holes re-routed the extra cable around the blockage, re plastered the holes and bits of wall he hammered out. Perfect job.

Thanks! Thanks to a couple of generous TTers, Geoff and Bavaria Satellite had me hooked up with English and German satellite reception just in time for my visiting Mama Bug to have tv!
He even stayed and made sure the hodge-podge system of old US TV, Playstation, DVD player all worked together with the new satellite reception, much to the delight of the mini-bugs.

Top company, top service, top people. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them, regardless of the time or the day. I would recommend them to everyone. Geoff, good man, cheers for everything.

In 4 hours after I had made a telephonic appointment with Geoff from Bavaria Satellite, Sky was up and running ! Great job. Excellent service.

Of course the dish, 2 LNBs, dual holder, mounting bracket, cable and travel as well as installation does damage the wallet.

But I suppose thats the going rate for a professionally installed English telly setup.

Geoff sent me one of their free Free-To-View cards, which worked perfectly in my Sky+ box, but unfortunately not in the spare old Sky box I planned to use it in. Sent Geoff a PM and sent me an SMS back saying to give him a call. I didn't notice the SMS, so he phoned the next day me saying that because the box had been disconnected from the satellite for so long (about 3 years) i needed to force a software update to get the card to work. This still didn't work (display said it was updating, but when it finished the version was still the same), so i think maybe my box is broken. Great support though, especially for something I didn't even have to pay for. I'd definitely recommend Bavaria Satellite. Thanks very much Geoff.

Well, just to post, another satisfied customer of Bavarian Satellite. After living here since April 1, my tv was installed today, June 15 (48 hours after initially contacting my new two heroes, Geoff and Edwin. Please if anyone is reading this and is having internet problems, telephone problems or needs a tv, please do not hesitate to contact this company. They truly are the best!!!

Just to follow up, Geoff read this and sent me a PM saying to persevere with it as it would work eventually. Sure enough I now have all the Free-to-view channels on my second box, so Mrs MM will be able to watch whatever she likes while I have the football on.

Thank you to Bavaria Satellite for a job well done. We've had our satellite for over 2 months now and are very pleased with everything, finally, after 2 years, we have some English channels. It was a pleasure working with Geoff, he has a great sense of humour and is very laid back. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Bavaria Satellites looked after all our TV and satellite needs at The Arc, but after selling it I missed it so I got Geoff to install it at home too. He came and installed it all very quickly and did an excellent job.

A big NRW thank you to Geoff, Edwin and everyone at Bav Sat. My faulty box was repaired and returned to me in practically nanoseconds. Saved me a huge amount of hassle, time and money. Big thumbs up from me :-)

we will be moving over with just a lcd tv with freeview how much would it cost to get up and running with english channels

You will only get German DVB-T channels on your TV as it is at the moment.
The oly ways to get English TV is to get a dish installed with the appropriate receiver or to get Kabel Duetschlands English package..

There are lots of Threads about this if you try searching!

Just wanted to add a belated 'thank you' to Geoff and Bavaria Sat for a super job carried out in deepest, darkest Passau. Travel costs not withstanding, Geoff completely overhauled a truly dire local botch job installation (Euronics/Red Zac) in less than an hour and secured our monster dish against "force 5 gale winds."

Those winds have been and gone more than once down here since Geoff's visit, and the dish (a veritable 1m 50cm boat sail) remains unmoved.

Reception as good now as when Geoff fine tuned it.

Cannot recommend Bavaria Sat highly enough.

Set up an appointment with Geoff during working hours for tomorrow but he called to say that he could do it after working hours TODAY!

30 minutes and the free channels were up and running, he even sorted out the cable salad my ex-sat guy had created. Great service.

Very pleased with the job Geoff from Bavaria Satellite did for me last week. Having now got all the German channels we need on Kabel Digital, I wanted to use the 88cm satellite dish on the roof to receive UK TV. Geoff had the dish realigned and BBC1 on the TV screen within 20 mins of arriving. Top job!
