Hotels in Hannover, personal recommendations

I'm going to Hannover from 17.10 - 20.10.05 for a trade fair and am looking online at hotels in the centre near Hauptbahnhof (I plan on taking the SBahn each day to and from the Messegelände).

Does anyone have any particular recommendations? Where's a nice area to stay in?

I found some rooms on www.hrs.de but the prices aren't great as obviously they're more expensive during a trade fair.
N.B. I don't want private accommodation or B&Bs!

Don't stay in the Maritim - it is dreadful

So far as possibilities I have :
City Hotel Pension F.LAMM.E
Königshof am Funkturm
Grand Hotel Mussmann
Am Rathaus Lühmann
Savoy
but anything else is ridiculously expensive

There is a BNB,Guest house service that operates for big messes...
The prices are usuall between 40-80 EUR a night and include Breakfast..
I don't have the web site info at hand but it can be found in the "Where to stay" section of the Messe Hannover site..

I'm coming to Hannover for a few days next week and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good hotel, B&B? I know there are loads on the internet but i think its always good to ask the locals!
