The Dehner Store at the end of Dachauer Strasse has guinea pigs (and rabbits, fish and birds) and everything you need to take care of them.

Why not a pet store?

They probably dont want a standard German style one, you know, the one that has a Mullet and Curley moustache... laugh.gif

Assuming you want one for a pet and not dinner, you could try to get one from a private breeder.

According to my Peruvian brother-in-law they are best when grilled over a charcol BBQ and are considered a delicacy in parts of South America.
Personally Ive never been able to reconcile the fact that since they are RODENTS ohmy.gif -that they would make either nice pets or dinner, but each to their own

Hi,

you can also try the Munich Tierheim. They usually have a lot of animals needing homes.

Been out of town. Thanks for the replies, but it looks like we are gonna stick with getting fish as a first pet. Alot easier for a 4 year old.
