Anyone heard about the Comeback show starting tonight on Pro 7? Features one-hit wonders of the past years and gives them a chance to compete for a new record deal and tour of Germany. The "stars" and their famous songs are:
Haddaway - "What is love?"
Chris Norman (formally of Smokie)- "Living next door to Alice" and "Midnight Lady"
Markus - "Ich will Spaß"
Benjamin Boyce (formally of Caught in the Act) - "Love is Everywhere"
Coolio - "Gangsta’s Paradise"
CC Catch - "Heartbreak Hotel"
Jazzy (formally of Tic Tac Toe) - "Ich find' Dich Scheiße"
Emilia - "I’m a big, big girl ..."
Limahl - "Never Ending Story"
I think I'm missing 2 others, but I'm can't be sure.
I wonder how badly they will be teased and savaged on the show. They certainly were last week on the previews on the other programs.

one-hit wonders meaning they no longer have record producers? i can understand limahn (hey that was 20 years ago), but someone who had a hit less than 5 years ago doesn't need comeback status. i mean kylie had a break of 10 years or so before she got big again!
would be interesting to check out just for sentimental reasons.

from the pictures I have seen of her I would argue that kylie may be many things, but *big* is not one of them. I though that was her main selling point?

But he wouldn't be making a comeback, as he is still popular here.

Well it was a bit bloody long wasn't it! And about 50% Werbungen, as always.
Funniest moment - Coolio messing up.
2nd funniest moment - Caught In The Act guy tripping up.
best moment - the Weathergirls getting a standing ovation. (i hope your voting for them now)

Were the Wether Girls respnsible for the following lyrics:
"Got no time for Fleetwood Mac
I'd rather Jack"?
Can anyone enlighten me?

That'd be the Reynolds Girls. Different animal entirely.

No.
Stock, Aitken and Waterman were (well not Pete Waterman really as he is dyslexic and didn't write any of the words, just did the business bit).
The Reynolds Girls sang "I'd rather jack (than Fleetwood Mac)" and later one of them died in childbirth (I kid you not, think it was the bleached blonde one).
