Are there any in Munich?

Hello all,

I was wondering if anybody knows if there are any Hungarian Restaurants here in Munich.
I used to live in Chemnitz (Sachsen) and they had a really good Hungarian Restaurant, but unfortuantly we don´t go back to Chemnitz very often and so far I haven´t seen any in Munich.

Thanks

There is a Hungarian restaurant/cafe directly beside the Goethe Institute on Sonnenstrasse. Not sure of the name though...They make great takeaway Milchkaffee's!! There is also a Hungarian restaurant near the KVR on Lindwurmstrasse too...can't think of the name either...and it could even be Bulgarian now that I think of it..Regardless, this one is supposed to be really good. Geeee... this has been an extremely informative post. smile.gif

Canuck, I think the one you are thinking of is Sofia Grill. Bulgarian. I've never been, but always wanted to give it a go.

There is a big difference! Hungarians and there language are completely different than all other Europeans (except very weak ties with Finland). Their very tasty food is also unique and not to be confused with Balkan food like Bulgarian, Croatian, and even to an extent Greek and Turkish.

I will have to try some of the restaurants out too since the food uses a lot more spices (not just hot spices) compared to the rather bland German food... who don't get more daring than a little black pepper and a TON of salt.
