I don't believe it! I don't believe it! I don't believe it!
She's back! Saw her at Atomic Cafe in April and it was one of the best gigs for being in the audience I have been to in years.
READ THISJust got my ticket, so's now I can announce it. Had to keep it under my hat in case they sold out.
Be quick people - Fuck art. Let's fuckin' rock 'n' roll!

For him or for me? Think I'll be hiding beside the bar, scared. This venue is even smaller than Atomic (but is flatter).
AH-SAID-YEAH!

I don't see her front of stage willy, but there isn't any "click to enlarge" rider on the image ?

Who has got tickets and is going? And what time?
Know that Ski now has a ticket too
I got a ticket. See you in there
I'll be there, but maybe late. Did she start on time the last gig, Sin ?
No, they had a support band. I suspect there will also be a support for this. I doubt she'll go on before 21:00 - but I have been known to be wrong.

My world lies in smoking ruins.
Ug! Moshed like a teenager. T-shirt soaked. Watch broken. Kissed Juliette on the cheek as she came past the first time. Got a bit of her belly the second time. Absolutely fucked. Going to crash. I think I've bruised a couple of ribs.
What spiffing good fun

Juliette Lewis should play Iggy
It was fantastic, sweaty, loud, shouty, fabulous.
Good crowd sorted out the Schicki Micki twats swiftly, I mean people in a moshpit in flip-flops?!
We spotted a girl with her sunglasses on her head in the pit.
Big up to her as her sunglasses stayed on.
Her Viking hat! The poses and shapes! The fact that someone form my work I truly dislike was trying to get me to talk to her so every time I moshed I got in a good sharp boot at her!

(UA phone me for info!) Ain't Talking Bout Love as the encore!
A event. And then some.

toptastic ..way better crowd than at Atomic earlier in the year ..and the Viking hat and Beate Uhse style gaunlet fingerless glove things ..marvellous

... a little taken aback with the slow number this time but i guess she needed a breather !
the support band were also amusing too, what with that honky-tonk piano going on in the background to all the punk riffs ...and then the Stranglers cover ! let's hope juliet & her licks come back soon...

Mate, I was shitting myself all the way through the support band's set, that the singer would try a stage dive. She would have flattened me

I still can't quite believe that Juliette Lewis landed on me twice. I still can't believe I kissed her the first time. Did you see the aerial ballet she was doing right behind me the second time she came crowd surfing? Head down and one leg raised up towards the roof!!! I could see the set list every time the crowd pushed me over the top of her monitor... last song: Search & Destroy by The Stooges. Why didn't they come back on and do it? The crowd were up for it. Maybe she thought it was all getting a bit out of hand.
After the gig I was chatting with Katrina, Yeti and Ski and totally soaked in sweat from the top of my head to my shoes. I took my T-shirt off and wrung it. The liquid poured out!!!
Awesome proper no nonsense rock 'n' roll. Bono - up yer arse mate
Right - nobody make me laugh today. My ribs are killing me.

Me and the skinhead didn't see the support band - but I liked her gold boots regardless. I wants them.

aye, the support band singer came on all angry like but she seemed to calm down a little as the piano started veering more and more towards Exile on Main Street ...that honky-tonk sound must have done wonders for her anger management
as for Miss Lewis, she simply betters any female singer i have ever seen trying to do that whole 'rocknrollwhore' act ..by this i guess i am comparing her to peeps like Courtney Love, L7, the Riot Grrrrl movement from the early 90's ..just my two cents like.. Juliet & The Licks are for me just quality music, quality vocals and quality entertainment .. shame about Search & Destroy
The last time I've seen somebody wring that much liquid out of a T-shirt was while camping in Ireland.
The gig was good too.

Nah sweetheart. The bird with the gold boots was the bass player. The singer wore a Michelin belt

It was all moving up there.
I recall leaning back to ski at one point and bettin' him that the bass player's right tit would pop out. Very, very nearly did.

Well she had very nice boots. I almost mugged her for them.
But I might just buy these instead

I know, gold cowboy boots. It is wrong but somehow...

Apparently wrong is the new right so :
That was a crazy sweaty rock and roll night!
I was laughing at the photographer from the newspaper who thought that it would be a good idea to stand right at the front with all his camera bags and lenses. After the concert started I think he lasted around 2 minutes before his zoom lens flew off and he was nearly trampled, so he surrendered and then dragged himself to safety.
I hope they come back soon so we can do it all again!
I wondered where that photographer went. I know I trampled on his bag by accident a few times.
There was a point in the crush where I couldn't get my feet back on the ground. I just hung there between the bodies. Luckily, the three bodies around me were all very nice young ladies.

He went up onto the balcony and tried (not very successfully) to elbow his way past people so he could get to the front and take his pictures.
Were you up there Malc Spud?
Malcolm Spudbury
Sep 9 2005, 12:26 pm
Yep. At the front in the far right corner.
So... why didn't you come down and enjoy all the fun? Or at least say 'hello'.
Malcolm Spudbury
Sep 9 2005, 12:44 pm
I wear glasses so I prefer not to get so close to the front.
If I'd seen somebody I knew, I would have said hello. I've never met you, Yeti or Ski, so wouldn't have recognised any of you.
Oh!

You need to mix more.
Did you enjoy the gig anyway?

Yeah, it was great. Support band was a bit iffy though, I thought.
Were you standing near those 2 blokes in white vests who were moshing like mad and smashing the fuck out of everyone within a 10ft radius? Or were you one of them?

Very iffy. That 'I'm the top bollocks' guitarist was playing on an Epiphone fer Christ's sake... and you could hear it. First rule of rock 'n' roll I'm afraid mate. Make sure the support band has absolutely zero chance of blowin' you away. They didn't stand a chance... but then, I larfed
Yeah I was just to the left on those two nutters, centre stage right behind Juliette's mic stand and with my foot on the stage pushing back against the crush. At 43 I'm not sure I can keep doing this madness much longer. It bloody hurts like hell today.

Thought there was going to be some fisticuffs caused by those two. Specially after someone got twatted by the bottle that one of them had in his hand as he was flailing around.
