Random Munich trivia - the Al Jazeera connection

Here's a not very interesting tidbit of Munich trivia for yous:

- the Arabic 24hrs news TV channel famed for broadcasting the deluded rantings of world enemy number one, Osama bin Laden - has had a remake. The programming look and feel has been worked over and given new visual and acustic logos. The re-branding work was carried out by Velvet Mediendesign of Munich. The new TV studio was also built in Munich, by Billionpoints, before being shipped out to Quatar.

Here's another bit of Munich trivia:
That MacDonald's campaign "I'm lovin' it"/"Ich liebe es" is also a Munich invention. DDB did the campaign with the Chicago office heading it up but the slogan came from their Munich branch.
So that's one for the protestors this weekend then...

Not that I enjoy McDonald's at most times, but I have to say, the "Ich liebe es" campaign is really crap.

Also, ich liebe es.

I'd love to protest but I am sorry the McChicken Menu is just too tasty and easy to eat especially in the car on the way to the mountains.

What would also be fab would be a drive in Starbucks just a few km after McD...

So will the Tall, Bitter one be coming to Munich for television appearances?

Umm... the people shown in the advertising aren't fat enough to love McD's.
They should put some real customers in there instead. (haha)
