PlayStation II game recommendations

Can anyone recommend some good games? We just got it today and only have GT4 and I wanna get some more but have no idea whats good n not. I like first person shooter games...but more like the ones that don't have monsters n aliens n stuff like that. But like I said, I have no idea whats out there, so the suggestions don't need to be limited to any specific genre or anything.

Metal Gear Solid is a great game...Grand Theft Auto and Midnight Club Dub is good as well...

On the PS2 I am currently hooked on Tiger Woods 2004.

Burnout 3 - for more Arcadey based Racing - utter fun for parties
Final Fantasy 10 (Plus 7+8 on the PS1 - get a PS1 memory card)
The Metal Gear Solid trilogy
Mercenaries - GTA meets Battlefield 1942
Tekken 5
Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City and San Andreas

Oh, and I totally forgot

Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (Or wait til 5 comes out in October)

MOH is really good, can't remember if I've played the other two tho.
I'd highly recommend GTA:San Andreas and GT4 which you already own. The Tony Hawk Skateboarding series are very good as is SSX Tricky Snowboarding.
Agreed with Rebellion lies about the footie game, superb.

Currently enjoying Need for Speed Underground. Platinum series, i.e. available for under €30.-

I'm urgently awaiting Liberty City Stories for my Playstation Portable.

All the GTA games are the shiznit. I've also enjoyed the last two Prince of Persia games and all the Medal of Honor/Call of Duty games.

If you like the show Futurama, the PS2 game is like the "lost" episode.

Check out Ico. Beautiful to look at and challenging. The most overlooked game of all time, which is a shame as it's one of the best games of all time.

Surprised none of the Resident Evils (especially RE4) or Silent Hills got a look in - if survival horror floats yer boat, The Thing cost me a fortune in trews, despite getting a lacklustre reception upon its release.

The Soul Reavers are pretty good too. Singstar is ridiculously addictive. Ratchett & Clank is my favourite r&j platformer with BFGs. I've not played Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood but heard good things about from people who have.
