Hello Everyone...

I am in Germany for a brief (very brief - 15 days) for a project with a very energized team. We are currently living in Freiburg and at the end of our project, we are supposed to have a "kick-ass" fun event close to Freiburg (we wont mind staying in Munich for a night). Anyhow, I am here to ask all you veteran partiers on what the best options for a full day of fun and leisure could be?You'd know exactly what I mean if I asked you : If it was your last day in Germany and you probably wouldnt be back for a while, what are the "fun things" you'd do??

I would greatly appreciate your suggestions. Just to let you know, the team is mostly male - but young and active (lots of party people esp at night) and looking to have tons of fun in this great country!!Age Range - 25 to 30!

So please write in and who knows - we might see you somewhere...

Regards,

Are you asking for suggestions about what to do in Munich? I've never considered Munich to be close to Freiburg...

My question is do you want to see munich sights or drink or ???

I would suggest Andechs if you are in the resting mood. A nice stroll then drink beer all day long.

If you want to stay in munich I would suggest a bike tour and then a beergarten.

either way you'll get to drink a load of beer tongue.gif

Nicole,

I thank you for your response and suggestion. We wouldnt want to start drinkin right in the mornings (since our manager would be here as well...so you never know smile.gif) but where would you suggest we go biking?Around the city?Which sights would be the most interesting to see...and which biergarten?

Not sure if there much to do in Freiburg so we are planning on taking a train or just drive to Munich either the night before or early morning (we heard it takes about 4 hours)...

Appreciate your response. Do you know anything about Freiburg. I ask since we start pre-partying on Thursday through Saturday!!

Take a bike tour of Munich, they usually include a stop in a beer garden. It's a good way to see the city. If you're a large enough group, you could probably arrange your own private tour.

Mike's Bike Tours

Freiburg does have a good nightlife for its size, or so I've been assured by many people. But a lot of that is student-based and they don't start back until October, so I guess it's a little quieter at the moment. I don't really know of any particular place that rocks all night. But you should check out the two brew-pubs at some stage while you're there!

Yes, I would definitely do a Mike's Bike Tour. Then you can see if there are any sights you want to go back to when it's over. While some long term Munchners might roll their eyes, I'd also say you have to have a least one beer at the Hofbrauhaus. Then hit the Englischer Garten and one of the beer gardens.

Hi,

I visited Munich this summer and a good point is to join the free tour that starts at 14'30 at Marienplatz. The guy is wearing a red T-shirt with big white capital letters saying FREE TOUR, so difficult not to see him. We went there on a saturday, but I don't remember they were doing the tour every day. It takes about 3 hours, and the english speaking guide will make you have a good time: they go on tips.

As well, he'll propose you to join the Irish pub night tour...I think this costs smthg like 10 euros, and you have shots for free, blah, blah...well, donno, depends on what you're looking for.
