The worst food in Munich

Worst of the worst. I want it.

I am looking for a place that offers under or over-cooked pasta, bland sauces, nearly raw or completely burned hamburgers, wilted salads, and really soggy chips (french fries).

To top it off, I'd like rude, infrequent service, terrible music or entertainment, and the highest possible prices.

Do you know of place like this?

Oh... and watered down, completely taseless drinks, please.

Thanks,

J

I can't think of any establishments to fit your requirements right now... but I have the answer to all your prayers. It's called>> Come On Over to my Place!
I will cook you something truly revolting (or maybe just heat something up out of a can). Undercooked is my specialty.
I promise to be offensive, obnoxious and rude (you festering ball licker) and will also make fun of your clothes and teeth.
For entertainment you can watch me ignore you while I play Playstation, and NO you certainly may not have a turn. If it's a quiet night I may just read in front of you. (Not out loud though).
For all this and more, I charge the puke inducing price of €120 per person. Drinks are €17 per glass tap water.
All are welcome. Please tip generously.

I love it! When can I come over (and invite my entire family!)?
Marshbot
Of course.

(Mwwaaaa haaa ha, I'm going to be rich.. RICH!!)

Wok Man is supposed to be really terrible.
Carm
Joe Penas - they will try to double or triple charge you for crap! And when you question them, they get abusive!
pootle
Try Rama on arnulf str, terrible service and normally shit food... maybe you get lucky and get the good cook, but watch what arrives on the bill

I agree with the Wok Man suggestion. They come pretty close to your requirements...

How about the Kartoffelhaus? While the food is pretty good and the service par for Munich I did get a horrible case of food poisoning.
Topsy
i quite liked the kartoffelhaus

however the food on a recent trip to Edison's was bland and tasteless, and the service was a bit rubbish - maybe you could try there?
Blimeygirl
The worst service I had recently was at Il Dottore near Sendlinger Tor (it's on Pettekoferstr). Food took over an hour to come...was not extremely inventive...and the waitress was really really bad. In the end got a free tartufo for having to wait so long...but still.

Also Schwabinger Wassermann was pretty bad the one time I went for brunch. Didn't think the food was brilliant either.

Go to The Arc or Twisted Bavarian tongue.gif

Really?
I've been meaning to try there for a while now. I've only heard good things about it previously though.
I might still give it a go. I like food poisoning.
Jeffn
I recently developed a fabulous case of diarrhea and subsequently passed out after enjoying a soup that tasted like diswashing liquid at a chinese place in Geising.

Can't remember the name, though. All went blank after the ambulance came.

It was GREAT.

This is why I read you lot. Truly inspiring laugh.gif

Makes for a nice three day diet plan. tongue.gif
I know the place you need, but it has been so long since I was there that I can't remember the name. Italian it was and horrid food and service. It was in Pasing.
It was almost laughable at how bad it all was.

I got one.

Kashmir was banned by Toytown for the rudest service. Can't say much about the food either.

Hi Jeffn,

I would have to say the Le Florida in the Pariser Straße, Haidhausen. The atmosphere is very nice, but the food (particularly the sauces) was just brutal. Not going back there - except for a drink.

Best,
Patrick

According to <tristen.. his daddie is the worst chef and his place is the worst place to eat in Munich! laugh.gif

BTW.. Tristen is only 9yrs old!!!
Jeffn
Well, at least he knows what to expect. blink.gif

It's got to be WokMan followed by Der kleine Chinese. Finally a thread about food that isn't making me hungry! smile.gif Good work.
Paddie
I must say, I don't find "Der Kleine Chinese" that terrible, to be honest. I can deal with it, every four months or so, at least the one here in Haidhausen.

Pardi - lovely nosh served by the biggest shower of arseholes you can imagine

You could come to my work's cantina. Guaranteed to leave with gas, bloating, stomach cramps, and possible high blood pressure (I'll let you know in a few weeks). It offers a large variety of aging vegetables at its salad bar and a few hot, tasteless meals.
Paddie
That really sounds lovely.

Hands down, the very worst food and service is at the Forschungsbrauerei in Perlach. Order the Schweinehaxen swimming in greasy sauerkraut and blobs of fat. This is the only completely grey meal I've ever seen. Duck when it's slammed down in front of you if you don't want to wear it. The only saving grace to this place is the incredible home brew there. VERY strong. Drink a mass of the Blonder Bock and then eat whatever they throw at you. You won't care.

The WORST food I have eaten in Munich in memory was the Rama in Arnulfstrasse where we had the misfortune to have a Neuhausen Night Out.

Not only was the food EXTREMELY mediocre, the restaurant tried to rip us off and I have NEVER been so insulted in my life at the way they treated us.
Topsy
actually, that's true about Rama - i used to go there a lot, but i've never been so insulted in a restaurant, either
it's a shame, cos i can more or less see the place from my balcony
but i refuse to go back, no way

radha is far far nicer, and the owner is lovely and friendly

Re: the Kartoffelhaus

I'd been there before and really liked it, but any place that allows their food to go so far off that even my cast iron stomach can't handle isn't getting another visit from me.

I lost 4kg thanks to that place!
randy
My vote would be for worst quality control would be Nachtkantina. Their food is passably bland, as well.
Malcolm Spudbury
Worst indian restaurant I've ever been to has to be Tamarind / Masala.

Unfortunately it closed within a year of opening, so the original poster won't be able to sample their tasteless offerings.
Beanie
Sushi and Wok in Großhadern / Würmtalstrasse is pretty bad, too.

Tasteless chinese food, boring running sushi, overpriced, and really really unfriendly service:
Chinese waitress with sort of communist attitude towards customers, giving orders and pushing you around.
Unbearable even for Germans.
