Do you know of any fastfood or restaurant near Marienplatz or Hauptbahnhof which serves mostly or only healthy food ?

I cant stand eating hamburgers.

for example :

good salad bars

pasta which doesnt necessarily come with bolognese sauce or meat sauce

restaurants which serve a variety of vegetables not cooked with cream

vegetarian restaurants

NO CREAM, NO OILY STUFF
NOT PLENTY OF RED MEAT

Suggestions would be most appreciated.

Some suggestions that come to mind:

There is a vegetarian restaurant called "Prinz Myshkin" which is in a side road off Sendlinger Strasse (a little south of Marienplatz). It's very popular. Not cheap, but also not outrageously expensive.

In the "Fuenf Hoefe" shopping area (north of Marienplatz towards Odeonsplatz) there is an Italian fast-food outlet called "Vapiano". They have all sorts of pizza and pasta, and it's quite authentically Italian.

The "Fuenf Hoefe" complex also boasts a yummy Thai fast-food place (forgot the name, but Fuenf Hoefe is not that huge).

In a side street south of the main pedestrian zone connecting Marienplatz and Hauptbahnhof, there is a sushi place called (I think) Sushi Sano. You can probably find it with the TT search function.

Three of my favourite regulars:
  • Kaimug - Thai in the Fünf Höfe
  • Sasou - Sushi and soups just off Marienplatz
  • Mugal - Indian on Sonnenstrasse just round the corner from Hauptbahnhof
All of them fast. Walk in to eat times of around 3 to 5 minutes. Healthy too.

Vinzenmurr (the butcher/german fast food) has a salad bar, you pay for the weight of the salad. They can get costly, but its fresh veggies, and some prepared salads (pasta salad and coleslaw). There is one at Rosenstr, right behind Marienpl towards Sendlingerstr.

There is also a Subway sandwich at Rindermarkt and Viktualienmarkt. Fast and not a hamburger.

Shoya sushi on Frauenstr is also good, and very cost effective.

I thought I saw in the basement in the food section of Kaufhof at Marienpl a Salad bar! Actually as I think about it I am about 90% sure there is one there.

Happy Healthy Eating!

As for Sasou, Sushi is nice but as for the soup... unless you are going for a bowlful of Msg.

I really like the food area at Basic (Westenreiderstr. behind Tal), they do lovely lunchtime food and nice mix of fresh juices. Bux's is also nice but can be pricey. I love love love Yum 2 Take on the vickt'markt - v. good thai food and not too pricey
